Nigel was born and raised in Singapore, studied graphic and fashion design in New York and now lives and works in Australia dividing his time between Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Nigel studied technical design and fashion history which has provided him with a truly unique approach to the art of make-up. Combining the theory with his great attention-to-detail Nigel has honed his technique resulting in exquisite finish to all his work.

He has also had the opportunity to work alongside one of the most highly respected make-up artists in Australia – Award winning Rae Morris (author of "Make-up – the ulimate guide") for the past five years. Rae has generously shared her "tricks of the trade" and experiences with Nigel – an invaluable insight into the world of high fashion make-up. He is a natural teacher and presenter and enjoys sharing his expertise.

Nigel has worked extensively both in Australia and overseas making the transition between fashion editorial, runway, music, advertising and celebrity with ease. Locally Nigel has worked with Cosmo, Cleo, Fashion Trend & GQ; celebrity PR events such as the Sydney Film Festival, the ARIAs, fashion shows for L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival (Vogue, Madison & marie claire); TV shows such as Project Runway and Make Me A Supermodel; and with some of Australia's top photographers including Jason Capobianco, James Demitri, Kane Skennar, Andreas Smetana, David Woolley, photographic duo Montalbetti+Campbell.

He has also worked with celebrities including: Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Peaches Geldof, Hillary Duff, the Veronicas, Snoop Dog, Darren Hayes, Grinspoon, Sophie Monk, Michael Buble, and the original supermodels Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford.

Nigel's love of the industry is all consuming and when not working he spends hours researching the latest trends in fashion and beauty ensuring he is constantly on-trend and ready to recreate the most current looks with his own inimitable style. He takes inspiration from old movies like Cleopatra and Breakfast at Tiffany’s; Music like Old School Madonna, Beatles, Elvis & Bossa Nova gives him rhythm and magazines like Italian Vogue, V Magazine and Wallpaper give him words. Nigel is also a Warhol fan.

With his unique charisma and infectious laugh, Nigel brings a sense of fun to every project along with an extraordinary creative talent and sense of professionalism.
