Born and raised in Northern California

One of the original "supermodels", she left the runway in 1994 to complete her undergraduate education at New York University, where she graduated cum laude with a major in comparative religion and philosophy.

Merging her avid interest in yoga and Eastern practices with her extensive experience in the fashion and beauty industries, Christy created two lines of yoga wear.

The best-selling book, "Living Yoga: Creating a Life Practice" (Hyperion 2002), magazine articles for Conde Nast's Women's Sports & Fitness, Harper's Bazaar and Yoga Journal.

First signed in 1991, when she appeared in many ads that helped establish the company’s famous tagline, "Maybe she’s born with it. Maybe it’s Maybelline." Returned to represent the brand in June 2006.

Lung cancer prevention, women's health research, empowerment for young women, yoga and a healthier way of life. Christy also supports various other causes including refugee support, women's issues and children's organizations through numerous charitable partnerships through her company, Turly, Inc. and a charitable foundation she personally funds.
