CHEEK HEAT GEL CREAM BLUSH, FACE MAKEUP

This blush has virtually no pigment after application. The first time I wore it, I squirted some on my hand, swirled a blush brush in it and applied to my cheeks where the color basically disappeared. I kept swirling and applying, swirling and applying, until finally i put if directly on my cheeks and blended with the brush. There was still very, very little noticeable color. The second time I wore it, I squirted it onto my fingers and massaged into my cheeks where, again, it disappeared. Three layers later I had barely a tinge of pink. I like a sheer, natural looking blush but this is seriously lacking in color. The one thing I like is the consistency, which melts right into your skin. Otherwise very disappointing product.

The application using fingers is tricky because it dries quickly. A brush soaks it up (and absorbs the color), and a sponge doesn't help much.

Pros:
I'm impressed that it didn't cause me to break out, which is what most cream products do to my cheeks since my pores are a bit bigger on them.
This color is fantastic for any skin tone.
Can be applied several times to get desired color depth.

Dries too quickly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Im honestly not a big fun of cream blushes at all. I did love the tone it gave me, it went well with my skin tone. However, the application process is not as easy as with powder, maybe I just dont know the right technique to apply cream blushes. The color payoff is good, doesnt look as bright on my skin as it did on the tube, but Im perfectly fine with that. Overall it looks nice once applied on. If you like applying cream blushes I would recommend this blush, meanwhile Ill continue searching better techniques for a smoother application.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gel cream blush seemed unique to me because of the application and texture and the color was something I think I'd love. I tried it twice and both times I didn't notice too much of a difference with my natural cheek color and the blush itself. Maybe it's because of this shade being a more natural nude. The first time I applied it with my finger and the second time I applied it with a sponge. I did notice better color oqyofss with the sponge but I also used up much more product than the first time. I also had trouble getting the product out of the tube and found it hard to control how much product I was getting because I had to squeeze it pretty hard. I feel like that could be improved. I do like the slight glow it gives me though. It's like a dewy glow.

I love this cream/gel blush. I only use blush sticks that glide on from different cosmetics brand.I quit using powder blushes awhile ago. But this tube blush is great. Sheer, lightweight and natural looking. Thank you, Maybelline for finally coming out with a cream blush. I'm in my 60's and this one makes me look more youthful. I use all Maybelline. This one goes a long way. I use only one teeny drop on the back of my hand as a pallet for each cheek. Start at the apples of cheeks and blend toward hairlinewith fingertips.

I've always wanted to try a cream-based blush but never got around to it. This is a gel cream base. It goes on so nice and smooth and it doesn't settle into my pores. I have an olive complexion in the nude burn color was perfect. It's really easy to apply you use a small amount and apply with your fingers. It has buildable coverage which is a plus. I highly recommend you try this. I will be buying in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So disappointing!!!! I wanted to love this product and sadly I feel the opposite. It was not easy to put on but more Importantly it plain sucks. Every other cream or gel or cheek stain I have goes on and you can add more or whatever. This, it moves itself OFF the face. So you put some on and wanna blend more, or add a little more, be prepared to have blotches on your face. Areas were taken off, like little holes. It was horrible. It looked so bad I washed my entire face. I would never purchase this. Im so sad.

I was super excited to try this product because I’ve been wanting a liquid blush. I tried wearing it on top of foundation, and it completely took off the foundation underneath it. So I tried setting the foundation before putting on the blush, and the same thing happened! I had to start over my makeup, which was very annoying. Then I tried it just now on bare skin, and it was super patchy. When you try to blend it out, with a beauty blender or finger, it removes the blush and leaves it patchy. Complete waste of money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upfront - I received the wrong color. I was supposed to receive Nude Burn, a more neutral tone that looked ideal for more mature skin. Instead I received Pink Scorch, which is pretty as a swatch but makes me look like a clown. It is very, very pink! Very vibrant and bright, extremely youthful. The texture is very cool, I would love to test out the nude color in this formula because I really like the feel and application. The bright pink accentuates some pores and texture, not sure if that's the formula or the color.

As soon as I took the seal off, it started gushing out. It wouldn't stop...until half the tube was empty. I had to find a container to put the amount that came out into. Not good start. When I started putting it on, it started taking off my foundation when I used my fingers, so I had to switch to a brush. And it still had the same problem. Additionally, I feels like jelly and barely had any color. I was adding layers and layers, and you can still barely see it. Whoever gave it the Allure award was disturbed lol.

You can spread it across your skin with no pull. It seems like a gel. The gel goes on a little darker and then lightens quickly to a shade that looks natural. The color is perfect. Even though the texture is soft the product lasts all day. I do not know how it turns a lighter shade just after you put it on but it is great. You just need a little bit when it goes on so I think this tube will last a long time. Does not seem to rub off either. I rate the staying power at 5 Stars. I rate the Pink Scorch color at 5 Stars. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh, yikes. I have rosacea. This color (nude burn) with that skin condition: not the best. I like to keep my makeup process fairly quick. This is not time-friendly. Application takes a while and the actual pigment is almost non-existent. If you want to apply this over powder foundation, please don't! This formula is water-based. It will get muddy, break your foundation apart or remove it altogether before you even get out the door. It has great consistency going for it and that's about it. Sorry, Maybelline :(

I was considering buying a blush but I was blessed to receive a complimentary voxbox with this product inside. This is the first time I used cel-cream blush and I was a bit confused on how to apply but once I had the product on my face, it is a life changer! The only downside is that I used it four time already and its already running low. I do also apply twice because it does fade once I blend it out. Still overall its a great product and I want more.

It gives you that fresh flush look and you can make it as subtle or dramatic as you'd like! It's very easy to blend, the pigment is great and I love a good quality liquid blush. Maybelline really hit it out of the park with this one! I would buy again for sure and I'm looking forward to trying new shades in the future.

I bought Cheek Heat because I really wanted to try a gel blush, but I am very disappointed in how this one went on. I followed all instructions on the packaging, but the product dissolved my base of foundation twice, with two very different foundation formulas.

(Out of curiosity I tried to use one of my lipglosses to achieve the effect I wanted from Cheek Heat, and it looked amazing lol)

I absolutely swear by other Maybelline products, but this one was just a dud for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lets start with I loathe cream blushes. They always tend to settle funky into my skin and do some weird chemistry type thing to my foundation. I wasnt too excited about trying this. But I did it. And I loved it!! It didnt create some weird science-y thing to my foundation nor did it settle funky. What it did do was create a beautiful warmth to the apples of my cheeks and blended beautifully I might add! The best application method I found was to put a dab (about the size of a pencil eraser) on the back of my hand and use a dense blush brush to tap color on to the apples of my cheeks, then buff until I got the pigmentation I desire. Seamless coverage and lasts all day! The Nude Burn color is a beautiful nude pink with a slight shimmer to it and I believe is very universal. Im interested in trying more shades!

There’s so little pigment! I know it’s supposed to be sheer, but when I put it on with my fingers, it disappears to nothing. When I try to layer it, it starts clumping/piling so there’s spots with more pigment and spots with no pigment at all. To be fair, I wear lotion... but that doesn’t happen with other products. It just looks blotchy. I’ve honestly never been more disappointed with a product. You’re better off using lipstick and blending it out for a cream blush.

I was concerned that the color would be too dark but it put just a nice hugh of color on my skin it was super easy to blend in and did not use much at all to achieve the color I was looking for this tube will last me months! Maybelline Cheek Heat has an awesome velvety texture, the color is beautiful and exactly what I like, it gives a super healthy look! Its super easy to use, easy to control the intensity by using more or less product. I just think it doesnt last for a long time. I love how practical it is that I dont need a brush and can apply anywhere and even use it as an eyeshadow.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not for me. The formula was nice but the color wasn't my favorite, poorly pigmented, and I'm pretty sure I had an allergic reaction to it. It did not blend as well as I would have wanted and I found it hard to spread. If there was a sensitve skin formula and better pigment I would definitely give this another shot but I'm sticking with powder blushes for now.

This is not my first experience with cream blushes and I really like how this one works! The color is beautiful and very natural looking on my skin tone. It's also easy to build it up or make it as sheer as you need to and a little goes a really long way. I think the only downside is the fact that you can kind of feel it's there on your face at first, but it's easy to get used to.

Just enough to make me look like a slightly healthier/better version of my natural face. This cream blush nails that look for me. I dab a little on my cheek bones and blend with my ring finger. It gives me the perfect amount of color. I like that it’s buildable, too, so if I need to add a little extra, I can do that without overdoing it.

I would like to say that the blush does not have any fragrance to it, and the texture is like a clay like texture - something that one would use for a face mask. Overall the color is very subtle with a touch of pink rosy color to it. It super light that I feel that you would have to touch up a lot which in my case would be a bad idea because it would smudge my make up.

I wanted to love this. I really did. But the color payoff is almost undetectable. No matter how much I apply, I can't seem to get any pigment. I bought the coral ember color because that color compliant completion best. However, this product removes whatever product you have underneath. It doesn't blend well at all. So, basically, you have to apply it to a bare face. No thanks. I love cream or liquid blushes, but this was a miss.

Appeared rather dark and I like light pink tones. No smell. I applied and realized it was a very nice, smooth texture. Was not sticky by any means and could easily shape the way I wanted to. A little bit goes a very long way with this blush! I actually realized I kind of like the darker tones for the appropriate occasion too! I got to playing around more with it and got even more excited to realize all the different shades you could get from this one product. You can have a bright and bold night on the town or wear to church Sunday morning for a nice rosey pink tint to compliment your cheeks! When I opened the brand new tube it was nearly empty. I literally had to squeeze down the end and roll it to get product out, it was about 20% filled. The actual product was so disappointing. There was no color at all. It has the texture of Vaseline and just disappears on the skin. I have really pale skin and it was absolutely invisible. Product doesn’t build up at all and it just smears around the face. Do not purchase.
