Nourishing formula, but did not plump

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Incentivized-I received this product from Influenster and Maybelline for free in exchange for my honest review. The pros-I like the smooth formula, its not at all sticky and I dont feel I have to apply it often. The colors are very sheer which I also liked. The cons-no plumping at all. There is a strong tingling, bordering on a burning sensation that sticks around for awhile. This also made the tip of my tongue tingle as well. I found the container to be bulky for a gloss, which made transporting it a bit challenging. I am really torn on this product, but with it not delivering on the plumping and being so bulky, I would not purchase this one.

Plumps lips with a gorgeous color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this in color 002, mauve bite. I love the applicator as while it is large, it doesn’t make a mess on the lips or apply too much product. This color is a very natural color that doesn’t turn orange. It is spicy as expected, and has a feeling that most plumping lip glosses have. The color becomes more apparent after two coats. It does not travel outside of lip lines, nor does it dry my lips. The plump effect does help to smooth the fine lines on my lips. I definitely love this product and would be interested in trying more colors. If you are sensitive to plumping glasses, this one could be a little too much. It is pretty tingly.

Chilly Hot Lip Gloss

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received 2 Lifter Gloss Plump shades: Blush Blaze and Hot Honey.
Blush Blaze has a glossy, sheer light pink color, while Hot Honey has a shimmery, translucent light peachy hue.
Both are very easy to apply and have good staying power. The label includes a disclaimer stating that temporary tingling is normal. After application, I felt a burning effect on my lips, similar to the after effect of eating hot, spicy food. It lasted only a few minutes.
The lifter provides a nice glossy, shimmery effect. Personally, I’m not a fan of a spicy sensation in my makeup. However, if you like this effect and spiciness doesn’t bother you, go for it!

Great colour but very strange sensation on lips

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this, and really liked the colour when it arrived, and intrigued by the statement around the lip gloss having chilli in it to create the plumping effect. So decided to pop some on for a school-night drinks out and within seconds i could feel the tingling and slightly burning sensation on my lips. As i'd lavishly applied it on, the sensation grew stronger, and sadly became uncomfortable so i had to take it off.
Apply lighly at first and see how it feels, other people may have less sensitivity than i did. But the colour range was good and the gloss was lovely and shiny and not too sticky. Would i use it again? For me, probably not
No, I do not recommend this product.

Maybelline Lifter Plump -STINGS

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely no. Nope. No. No. I’ve tried lip plumpers in the past, Dior has the BEST one. I’ve used that one for years. This Lifter Plump by Maybelline is just so unbelievably uncomfortable to wear and STINGS my lips so badly - even after I removed it with a gentle makeup remover twice over - my lips were still stinging with no plump effect. I get that it’s enhanced with Chili pepper but goodness grief, this is not the product. Why put chili pepper in it? I’m not sure how this got past product testing but maybe it works differently on other people? I just know this was an absolute NO for me. The shade I was sent was pretty - that was the only up side.

Lovely color and goes on so smooth and shiny but a lot of heat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this product from Influenster to try out and give a review on and I received mauve bite 002. First off I will say I love the packaging and that goes on so smooth. I personally love leaf and tingles so this wasn’t too awfully bad but it was a little more than I was expecting but I will say I have never tried a plumper so I can’t compare it to anything as far as it being worse than others or not. I have a fuller set off lips to begin with so I can’t tell a lot of plumping but I do really like the way it goes on and the color it gives. Would probably buy again but wouldn’t recommend to someone who doesn’t love a lot of heat.
