Tattoo Brow 36HR Pencil

I only gave 1 star because I can’t give 0! Pencil is too thick too fill in brows, then impossible to advance. This is a makeup product inside of a plastic cylinder - it seems that you should be able to twist and have it advance. I broke off the brush end, inserted a cuticle stick, and was able to push more product up. What a piece of garbage - Maybellibe’s comments note that you should be able to sharpen this product. I don’t think so - this is not a pencil. It seems like their design team or quality control made a big mistake on this one! I definitely won’t buy again, and will look much closer at the product if I purchase any more Maybellinexproducrs.

The product seemed a bit chalky at first but the spool end helps to smooth out application and remove chalky look with great ease. I put on for a day and then did my usual night time routine. I did notice my cleanser/toner removed some of the color so I'm not sure that it'd really last a full 36 hours, but it does last all day with no problems. I'm definitely going to incorporate this product into my daily makeup routine now!

I bleach my hair and am always looking for a blonde leaning brow pencil I can use on my light brown brows so they look defined, but not stark. So I love this pencil for this. I also think it wears really well, loved how it looked at the end of the day. However, this pencil is very very soft. You have to sharpen it every time you use it, and you go through the product super quick. If I didn’t love the color as much as I do, I would give this 3 stars because of that formula issue. Making it a little bit firmer would also make it easier to do more hair like strokes on your brows, as it stands the spoolie is tour best friend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a bit hesitant tying out this product because I thought it was going to be too dark for my brows, but with enough brushing you can lighten up the color without eliminating the effect of a full brow. The formula is also very creamy so I wouldn’t recommend applying with a heavy hand, that being said, it glided on nicely onto my brows and definitely cut my brow time down. The only down side is that it’s not very precise (which is understandable) so I had to use a finer pointed pencil to finish filling in my brows, but besides that I actually really liked this product and will most likely buy it in the future!

I am blonde and initially I though "oh God this is way too dark " but I was wrong it is by far the lightest I have come across. Its super subtle and very natural lookinq, and because of that I can't actually tell if it stays on all day. I do know I used a brow gel after because it doesn't give them much in way of shaping or taming the wild ones. This will be my go to for now primarily for the color, and I would recommend it to all the other blondies out there as well.

This is hands down one of the best brow pencils I have ever used. I was a make up artist for 20+ years. I read reviews about not being able to twist this up. It is a pencil and can easily be sharpened. I use the Utban Decay Grindhouse. The only reason. I gave this pencil 3 stars is because the Light Blonde pencil is no longer available. I have used many high end brand pencils and this shade matches my hair color perfectly. Please bring back light blonde. There are natural light blondes out there. It is the only pencil that looks natural for us. I always bought 2 at a time. Knowing cosmetic companies do this.

My usual brand and color was out of stock so I decided to try this product. I assumed it rotated like a lipstick tube, and was floored to realize I needed to sharpen a plastic pencil. I had tried twisting and pushing it so many different ways before I actually had to do a google search to finally realize it needed to be sharpened. So here I am adding to the micro plastics problem. It’s 2023. Be better. Wood is fine if it needs to be sharpened. It’s also extremely difficult to sharpen the plastic pencil. I’ll be returning to my usual brand before I finish this product. Sharpening it once was enough for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] to be honest, i have NEVER done anything with my eyebrows whether it be filling in or any kind of pluckin/waxing. for reference im a natural blonde and my brows are extremely light so i though hey why not give it a shot! the pencil was very beginner friendly and i really thought the shade i got (248 light blonde) was very light looking in the package almost like my skin tone but the match was spot on! just dark enough to make them stand out but still look natural. the pencil is also pretty pigmented so i recommend a light hand lol. im 8hrs in and it hasnt budged . i definitely recommend giving it a try!

I bought this new product to take on a trip to the Arctic due to the 36 hour wear time. I tried it before leaving and loved it. I assumed it would roll up or a sharpener would be included. As soon as the small amount of exposed product was used, I was out of luck. I hadn't taken a sharpener and there are no stores to buy one on an expedition in the Arctic! Even though it's a good product, Ican't believe the packaging wasn't clearer about how to use it, and with a sharpener, it won't last long! I've used Maybelline products for a LONG time, but this one is ridiculous. I fully agree with all the negative comments made by others, and sorry I didn't read the reviews before I purchased it.!

Just bought my second after being frustrated with the first. After eventually taking off the plastic which was very difficult, I found that there was no point on the pencil whatsoever. As like many other reviews, this seems to be a twist up pencil but it doesn’t! I have now resorted to sharpening it right from the outset which is not an easy task to achieve a nice point. On the plus side, I know it wears very well and stays on hence my second purchase. Sadly, it’s too much faff and there won’t be a third. Disappointed again.

I thought it went on smoothly and very pigmented and easy to apply and didn't smudge around though not sure if its really a 36hr wear because I never actually worn it for that long or any makeup for that matter. But so far I'm liking this Maybelline Brow pencil and the color deep brown is the perfect shade for my dark tan skin tone with my black hair. I will be purchasing this product with my own money and adding it to my collection in the near future as an affordable brow pencil. I definitely would recommend this product to my family and friends.

You are paying for just a tip. In my case broke of so the 36 hour wear was brought down to to 3.1 seconds as I tried to open the packet and accidentally knocked the top off. Thought to myself ok I’ll wind it up. Nope. No can do. They only provide a tip lol. Worse product ever. How you would sharpen it is beyond me

I have used the pencil on 3 occasions, cleaning it off completely each time, after 36 hrs, when I started getting very itchy brows (altho my brows are sparse). When I cleaned my brows they looked quite red. 10 days later my brows are still reddish, like the result if henna staining and are still irritated.

I normally swipe a colored brow gel through them to enhance the color and hold them in place so it took me several days practice to achieve the results I wanted but WOW! This pencil glides easily and stays put all day until I wash it off. The attached spoolie is sturdy and helps the pencil blend with the brows. I received the color Soft Brown and it's a very good match to my light-medium brown hair. I will definitely continue using it, and may even repurchase in the future! If you've been looking for a long-wearing brow pencil give this a try!

I just don't love that it's kind of a thick pencil instead of a micro pencil what I am used to and what I usually go to. if you're looking for just an easy quick fill in your brows, this one is nice. If you're looking to like carve out your brows or shape them with details- it's not for that. The upside is that when I do use this product I don't feel like I need a brow gel because the waxiness in the product kind of keeps everything in place.

Bought this last week during a holiday trip. On the single
use, the tip broke, couldn’t wind it up. Had to wait until I got home from holiday to sharpen it, but it just keeps breaking. Have not had a chance for a single proper use! Absolutely disappointed and disgusted!

I have bought 3 of these.
They are great until you have to sharpen them. They are so difficult to sharpen because of the plastic coating on the outer of the pencil that 2 of mine have snapped.

While they are a great pencil they are rubbish when blunt.

It has really good lasting power and stayed on for 12-15 hours without any fading. However, I personally prefer a brow pencil that is more waxy so this was not holy grail status for me. I have dry skin and coarse hairs so this product catches and emphasizes the dry patches and hair follicles so it makes my brows look patchy and takes me much longer to do my brows.

From ABH to Winky Lux to It Cosmetics to Benefit I’ve owned them all. Out of all of the other Brow Pencils I’ve owned this is by far my favorite. It’s the exact shade match for my brows. The Spooli is great quality. But the best part of this product is the creaminess of this pencil. It’s the bomb dot com. I’m at a loss for words beyond impressed.
