[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried out the free Maybelline Tattoo Studio ink Eyeliner today that I received free from Maybelline and influencer in exchange for my honest review.i honestly I made a bit of a mess trying to apply it at first. I am a bottom water line eyeliner wearer and it just wanted to make a mess down there and not stick. So not recommended for bottom, but top lid worked great went on smooth and solid. With my eye shape winged looks don't really look right but this would work great for winged eyes. Once it dried it stayed put with no smudging. Solid color. Definitely staying quality I didn't wash it off at bed and it is still in place next morning.

Nice Eyeliner for Evening

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice and long wearing eyeliner. The applicator is super precise and the product doesn’t skip when applied to the eyelid. I am 56 and have a lot of texture on my upper eyelid and this held precisely at lash base which made me very happy and achieved the glam evening look I was going for. You can’t blend this out or soften the line (at least I couldn’t) so it’s not an eyeliner I would wear often. I don’t do winged liner, so for me this is a 4 versus 5 star product. If this was a pencil I could smoke out, I would love it. However I wore to a party and danced all night. This didn’t flake or irritate my eyes. I like this liner overall.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Maybelline Tattoo Studio Ink Pen Eyeliner for free from Maybelline and Infulenster in exchange for my honest review and I'm so glad I did. I'm not a person who wears makeup regularly and putting in liquid liner can be difficult and messy. I personally loved this. It went on so smooth, was easy to build up, and fill in where I missed. I did put this on without any primer or finish spray. Just the liner and the mascara. With that said, you may not like this longer if you rub your eyes it will rub off. I find it easier to clean up when I need up. But really it goes on so smooth and dries quickly. I think I'll be using this more than my old pencil liner.

Easy to use and perfect applicator!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received free for an honest review. This eyeliner applied smoothly and went on with consistent color deposits. I wore it all day and the last photo is the final eyeliner look after rubbing my eyes and just generally going about my day. I loved the applicator, because it was the perfect hardness to apply without moving, but it did not hurt my eye. I just wish the eyeliner stayed a bit longer. My other eye did not retain any of the eyeliner after my day and instead it was smeared a bit underneath my eye. I did not use setting spray this time because I wanted to try it out, but I think that might have fixed the issue.

Favorite product, but the cap…

This has been my favorite eyeliner for probably over a year. I have oily hooded eye lids and it still stays on all day still, and the brush tip is my favorite. My biggest problem is that I’ve had to buy 6 of these in 2 months because the cap keeps popping off as soon as I put it back on. Just when I thought I have it on there, it pops off and dries out, gets all over the place, and I have to replace it after less than a week. At one point I stopped buying it for a few weeks because I thought maybe it was a manufacturing error.Can we please fix the packaging on these? I really don’t want to switch eyeliner pens.

TERRIBLE PRODUCT!!

This is supposed to be a 16 HOUR LINER, but I have to reapply numerous times because it just fades away on the lower lid area! The “felt tip”??? Has tiny brushes that are bent back from putting the lid on, so you have to be careful not to mark up on face when applying! The lid “sticks” and is hard to pull off! A brush tip is the ONLY way to apply eye liner, the felt tips are unpredictable and tend to “flip” and get in your eye because you have to use a little pressure to get it to mark, whereas a brush is gentle and consistent! I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!! I would include pics but it doesn’t allow anywhere!!!

Love the Product but Issues with packaging

Love Love Love this product, the quality and price point! I was able to switch from Urban Decay Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen to this product for a fraction of the price. The line this product creates is stunning and lasts all day!
My only issue is the packaging. The stamping on the product flakes off and gets all over my fingers, face, and other items in my make up bag. I used to use the level of flaking as the indicator of when to repurchase the product but I am noticing that it starts flaking off immediately now. Pictures provided are of product purchased within the last month.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Stays Like a Tattoo

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a huge eyeliner wearer - but was happy to come out of the box and try Maybelline's Tattoo Studio Ink Pen Eyeliner. This brush goes on pretty smoothly, but a steady hand is needed. Once applied, it stays and is hard to wash off. I liked how the brush was shaped so that you could wing the ends of your lids if wanted. Color is true, definitely is waterproof (which is a good and bad thing) and stays put. I hate having to scrub even with makeup remover, so this eyeliner will be in the back burner of my makeup items. This would be great for someone who needs eyeliner to last for a long time!

Great formula, poorly made.

The formula is highly pigmented and has solid staying power. It definitely lives up to being waterproof and smudgeproof. However, I am very disappointed in the mechanics of the pen. I have only had it a short while and it started leaking! I am extremely gentle with my items and store it sideways. I've never dropped it or aggressively pulled the cap off. I'm uncertain how it could have started leaking other than it's faulty and assembled poorly. It's leaked so bad (and unexpectedly) that it smeared my application when I used it last night. If the pen didn't leak, I would give it 5 stars!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used dozens of different eyeliner pens in the past decade of doing makeup. They are my preferred type of eyeliner. The pen itself has a very thin precise tip. I felt like this made applying a thin line easier. It smoothly glided over my lids without getting caught. The pen design was as good as my two favorite higher end eyeliners. I have hooded eyelids that always put liquid liner to the test. Within an hour one of my small thin wings wore off. I was a bit disappointed that the liner didn’t hold up as promised. The rest of my liner and my other wing were fine. I took the photos attached to this review after 3 hours of wear. While this The pen design was 5/5 but the formula of the liner was only a 3/5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So since I had no event to go and not wanting to run the risk of looking like makeup all day I did the pulse test. It has been about 16 hours since I put the eyeliner and about 3 wash lights on the spot and amazement, did not faded at all. I just managed to remove using makeup remover and still had to scrub a lot, I repeat many times. So, I recommend if you need to stay with the same makeup for hours running the risk of climate change etc because it will not go out in any way. But for something in which you need to remove makeup more quickly I would not recommend this.

Bad formula aka literally DRY, false advertisement

Literally bought this eyeliner yesterday evening, opened it today to apply and it’s dry! I tried warming it up with my hands, shaking it, leaving it vertical to try to get product out, and I was only able to get a “Smokey effect” at best. Not really the “tattoo” ink solid application I was looking for/what was advertised. Packaging also implies a felt tip style applicator, but it actually has a brush tip, so more false advertising and dissatisfaction. I’ve been using Maybelline eyeliners for 10+ years now, but this is a “picked the wrong girl at the wrong time” kind of moment, so I’ll be switching brands out of principle and spite. Spent my last few bucks of my budget between paychecks just to basically get scammed. So bummed.

Long Lasting Liner

I found it a little difficult to apply the product comfortably and without much effort. I don’t have the steadiest hand and so to achieve the “precise” line was difficult. My hand shifted a bit while applying which caused some of the liner to get into my eyes but caused no irritation. Not a big fan of the brush tip, personally, I prefer pencil liners. It doesn’t work for me. Maybe it’s because I have hooded eyes, but I feel like no matter what, everyday it rubs off and does not stay. It transfers all over my eye and just makes a mess. I used to get NYX and it would work but near the end it would get dry and had its occasions where it would transfer and rub off. Every time I use this eyeliner, I feel that it does not dry like a tattoo and stay where it needs to stay. Even doing a small wing it rubs and is gone by the end of the day. Think I’m gonna spend some money for a better eyeliner.

Although eyeliner is not a typical part of my daily routine, and even though I’m more of a pencil eyeliner type of girl, Maybelline’s liquid eyeliner certainly impresses. Seamless application, bold tint, light formula, minimal smudging throughout the day, and washes off with gentle soap and water. The tip itself is very well designed — holds a good amount of liquid and is nice and sturdy, which facilitated that satisfying ~gliding~ effect as you apply.

The tip is very easy to use to get a nice thin line or a more dramatic and thick wing. This eyeliner is very matte. It’s almost too dry for me, it dries very fast so if you make mistake it can be hard to correct. But a big pro for me was how much it held up over the day. I only used it over lighter eye shadows but this has good coverage I would expect any issues over bolder looks. I received free products in exchange for my review.

Easy and flexible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was nervous because I've tried another pen and my unsteady hands left it bumpy and then I'd have to make the line thicker... just not good. Normally, I DON'T use eyeliner on my eyelids. Partly because my hands get jittery. THIS pen was flexible, it was like watercolor painting putting it on but much bolder coloring. It looked so much better than the other product I had used. I was able to use it as a regular liner as well. Super happy with they results and will actually start using eyeliner on my lids more often

So I tried to prepare myself for yet another emotional incident. Which did take place. Just not with the expected emotions. I was pretty happy with the end result. Application was smooth and even. It was smooth, easy to use and a true matte black! I have reached for it every time I’ve worn makeup since receiving it! I’ve been able to use it as a subtle liner or add a wing. I will buy this for myself. The photo is the first time I put it on. Late at night, zero other makeup on and no editing on photo. For a liner novice, I think it speaks for itself. Pen eyeliners are a must-have for me for precision, and this one performed well in precision and endurance. One of my tests for a good quality pen eyeliner is how much it transfers, if at all, to my eyelash curler, and this one had no transfer. The staying power was very good, as it lasted an entire day without smudging or flaking. This will go first on my list as a great alternative to my go-to pricier eyeliners to pick up in an emergency.

I had a swatch on my hand here and washed my hands with soap and water multiple times and it still did not come off. I love the felt tip applicator because it makes it super easy to apply, but once you apply it, it’s gonna stick. So make sure you have a steady hand and get your eyeliner right the first time or else you will be scrubbing your eyes to fix it. I will definitely keep using it and might even repurchase!

You may need to use a second coat if you were wearing eyeshadow. It is long lasting, as can be seen from my pictures, which were taken 12 hours apart. I did not have to reapply at all during the day.. I also did not experience any flaking or fall out. If I were to purchase an eyeliner pen again, this would be the way for me to go.

Dangerous product

I used this eyeliner and unfortunately had a very serious issue. The product appeared to be defective and leaked into my eye, which resulted in an infection. I contacted the company to report what happened, but instead of addressing my concern, they suggested it was simply an allergic reaction. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution others before using this product. I found it to be unsafe and was very disappointed with how the situation was handled.

I used a basic look with this eyeliner by applying to upper lash line, with no wing. The pigment was perfect for me and it lasted all night. I did not notice any smudging or fading. When I took it off at the end of the night it was not difficult whatsoever. I would definitely recommend to those that prefer liquid liner.

I've worn it with and without a full face of makeup. With a full face it looks great all day no smudging or fading. When I wore it without makeup it smudged very easy. But over all I love the pen, and pigment I don't feel like I have to go over it multiple times to get the color I want. I would buy this in the future.

The tip of the eyeliner is small so you can make a precise line and the eyeliner stayed on throughout the day. I would recommend this product!

Not bad for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was pretty good for a drug store liner, though the application was a bit of a struggle. I used this a couple of times a it does last well through out the day as advertised, which is great! If you mostly are just lining the top of your eye this is a good affordable option One issue I had with it was that it was kind of like using a dried out pen, I don’t think any of the product really makes it to the tip of the brush. So applying it to the upper eye goes fairly well because you’re kind of sweeping it from the side, but bottom lashes and any fine touch ups that you’d do with the tip were difficult. I thought it would be fun to try a shooting star graphic liner with this and it unfortunately kind of illustrated the point, it’s really hard to get a solid, clean, fine line. So lining corners and the bottom of your eye can be frustrating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is it, y’all. No other eyeliner necessary! I received this complimentary product from Influenster to then write my own opinion of it; and I was overwhelmingly shocked how fast I fell in love with this eyeliner. It allows you to make your eyeliner as thin or thick as you want depending on how your angle the tip. Not to mention, it’s not funky or clotty, but a perfect fine line. It’s truly the perfect name for the product because it is as precise as you need it to be like a tattoo in the smallest areas near the eyes. I tried a couple lines of it on my hand to see and was happy to see it didn’t wash off until a nearly 10-hour work day was over. I’m able to wear it to work because I don’t put it on heavy during the day, but when I go out I press a little harder and get a more dramatic look. Seriously a win win and my one stop shop. No other eyeliner necessary!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What is not to love about this eyeliner! Highly pigmented no transfer stays on for the day and into the evening! It went on extremely smoothly and came off extremely easy when ready. Very good price range thank you. Influencer and Maybelline for choosing me for this campaign, I truly do enjoy it and I will be purchasing more. I feel my eyelashes have gotten so much better and fuller from these products.
