Tattoo Brow 3 Day Gel-Tint

I bought this today with high expectations after seeing a range of tiktok reviews. I applied and followed the directions exactly however notice even when applying the gel, it was a dark shade of green. I mixed and shook the bottle thinking the colour just hadn’t mixed, but this was not the case. I assumed it was meant to be this way and applied anyway hoping it would develop into a medium brown as advertised. I peeled it off to find my skin and eyebrows had been tinted a horrible shade of green and although I was able to wash it off immediately, this product is a complete waste of money.
With a swipe of water this also came right off (lucky for me) however after leaving it for quite some time, and advertised as being a long lasting product, it proved very incapable of being such.

Doesn't work on my light brown eyebrows. I chose grey-brown as the best colour for me (light brown was very orange on my hand, and the other browns both just too brown).
I've used it twice, both times on clean skin and left for the full 2 hrs, after which it peeled off cleanly leaving a fairly strong dark ashy brown colour on the skin (hairs did not tint at all) which I hoped would fade off a little. The first effort washed off completely in the shower (water only) a few hours later, leaving no visible trace. The second time I showered 12 hours after application and was careful not to get cleanser or shampoo anywhere near it, but it washed off again, this time leaving very strange orange-brown traces (see photo).
I don't see how this could last 'up to 3 days' unless you didn't clean the brow area at all (for 3 days?!), even with plain water, but am happy for Maybelline to demonstrate it for us all.
In summary, it might be OK for those with already dark brows who just want a stronger brow for a day or a night, but it's not going to last beyond your next shower; it definitely doesn't tint my brow hairs, and grey-brown leaves a very weird orange trace. Sorry Maybelline, I really really wanted this to work, but it doesn't, for me.

I was really excited to try this product and my first impression was good, it felt fine on my brows while I was waiting and did it's job of coloring my eyebrows well. So on first impression I was impressed. But then on day two they started to turned orange. I didn't have any products on my skin that might have caused this so it's definitely from the tattoo brow product. So I am not happy about this product and would not recommend it until Maybelline finds a way to fix this. Orange eyebrows is a hard look to pull.

I left if for 20minutes, not more and it is amazing. Next day it stays quite well. So probably if wait for 2 hours it would even stay longer.
In general i am very happy. Easy to apply, maybe thicker in the end would be better, but can apply with the way it is. Fast and while doing other things - easily dryes and peels off. Super happy about this product.

I watched at least 10 review videos on YouTube and read the reviews her and was so excited to buy this product.

I followed the instructions exactly and it did not feel off at all. Instead, I had sticky gumlike product on my eyebrows that was terribly difficult to remove.

I thought I had done something wrong, so I had my daughter do them for me again. She is a teenager who lived for MUA videos and saw product review videos as well. She did them for me and again, they did not peel and instead were a sticky mess. Horrible disappointment. Never again.

I bought this yesterday in the shade light brown as I have have blonde hair and I was really excited to use it as this product has a lot of hype about it. I left it on for 2 hours and they looked fine when I took them off at first then I went to sleep and woke up with ginger eyebrows!! How am I supposed to go out with brows looking like that I don't know but the point is its a complete rip off. If I wanted my eyebrows ginger I could have just bought an eyebrow pencil in the shade ginger not something stating it is light brown

I used it according to the time on the box. It did last a really long time.. however, the second day it had already faded to a disgusting orange colour. The colour I had was medium brown. Unfortunately before that I was super impressed but I was not keen on having orange brows

I bought this product as I have heard "bloggers" boasting on about it! I done my eyebrows followed the instructions. Was ok when it came off from a distance until I got up close my skin under my eyebrows was orange they look disgusting a lot of people ha e commented on how the look so orange talk about knock a girls confidence also I have died my eyebrows since a young age never had this problem I also looked in to what was in product and I'm not allergic to anything !

When I first found the product i was so excited. I started with dark brown but it was way too dark, then went to medium brown, but still too dark, then light brown which was ok shade wise but way red. I kept trying to experiment with different times left on with all the shades I purchased for the perfect cover with no luck. As they fade, within 2 days my eyebrows and skin turn bright orange. In the end I gave up because it’s a lot of effort for an average result. A week ago I stopped using the product and my eyebrows are still orange! I’ve actually lost half an eyebrow because I’ve tried to scrub so hard to remove the product and it won’t come off. Even with make up remover. Now I have 3 different tubes of products I’ll never use. What a waste of money. I suggest there needs to be an even lighter brown shade with no red undertones and maybelline needs to fix the fact it fades red. If they can do that, then they might have a real winner on their hands.

I brought this product on Friday couldn’t wait to use it I’ve got very fine medium brown eye brows that I fill in every day with a brow shadow which is a pain so Friday did it leftbit for 2 hours. A bit difficult to peel off but my eye brows looked great Friday night woke up Saturday morning with what are now ginger looking eye brows !!! I don’t know how this happened !!!

This product is wow amazing, I am lucky to have brows same shape and thickness as Cara Delevingne, due to the fullness of my brows I was worried I would look weird and unnatural, however to my complete surprise it really does look natural and makes such a difference to your face. I found the product super easy to apply. I left the product on for a full 2 hours to see what happened, the colour is a nice warm natural brown, my shade dark brown. It wont go super dark even after 2 hrs, so if your worried about this then don't it looks so natural. Love this and have not had any issues with colour changing upon fading, I was lucky mine lasted 4 days and then started to fade. My skin is Olive and my skin is on the oily side, no issues at all.

I bought this based on the pictures and videos I'd seen of it being applied and the results. I put it on in the evening, left it for 30mins and was pleasantly surprised by the results allbeit, I got a little staining on my skin.
The next morning however, after washing my face, I looked in the mirror to see it had all washed off! So much for lasting up to 3 days, mine didn't even last 1 full day!!! Very disappointed and not worth the money. Will be returning mine asap!

Amazing,lasts 2-3 days.those complaining about it not working,make sure your face is freshly washed and not moisturised,no it won't tint your brow hairs,it stains the skin.maybelline please never discontinue this.

I'm so glad I decided to give this a go! I had my eyebrows tattooed about 2 years ago and they've faded to an awful purple colour. I was skeptical about this after reading the reviews, but it has worked amazingly well for me! I bought the ash brown purely because it was the only one my local stockist had on the shelf, but the colour is perfect. I left it on for 45 minutes and I've got a really deep colour - it looks exactly like I've had my tattoo redone, but was a lot cheaper! I'm curious now to see how long it lasts, but I'll definitely be buying more.

I bought it today and gave it a go and let it sit for 1.5hours. It goes on dark but when the gel is removed, the colour is even and subtle. I have very thin hair towards the outer eyes and frustrated with having to fill them in with all sorts of products. This was so easy, I will definitely continue to use it and highly recommend it.
I am reviewing it without waiting to see how long it lasts, because it is absolutely so easy to use.

First I bought the medium brown and day one it looks good and very easy to apply, a few lost eyebrow hairs - so wouldn't be great for those with very sparse eyebrows. Day two, three, four it gave a very reddish tone, but certainly lasted longer than my usual henna brows and even easier to apply. I picked up the dark brown hoping to get rid of the red, but honestly not sure if there was a difference in colour. I wouldn't use either of these two colours again, the product I would have rated 5 stars if it weren't for the reddish tones.

I'd like to try the brown grey, but not sure I'm willing to spend again for another one, some of the one star reviews also refer to the red tone in the grey brown.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am amazed at this product. I would have never thought Maybelline would have a quality product like this. My brows are a mess and very difficult to perfect. They often look different from each other and filling them in takes a long time especially to be careful not to make it look drawn. I also like very thick brows which is what I have but the are not consistent and I have a lot of empty areas.

This product is easy to use and makes my brows look full instantly. I absolutely love the pencil which I first use to outline my brows and draw strands then I use the Tattoo to fill in the middle area. I then wipe away the extra. Its amazing!

I bought this last week to try in Superdrug and thought it must be good for all the advertisements. I tried this first and left it on for 2 hours and peeled it off (bearing in mind i used a think amount for each brows) and it came off perfect with the colour I want and the shape! The second time I used this I left it on over night the only plus side to this is I find it last longer otherwise the standard 2 hours is just as good! Lasts me around 3 days which is what it’s meant to do nothing to complain about ☺️ Overall Love this product!

The brush head is not fine enough for precision and the gel is too thick. Problem is it dries to quickly so you don't have enough time to be precise with the shaping. It is already gluggy and becomes worse as you apply it. It clumps in your brow hairs. If you manage to get a good effect, it only lasts a day because the dark brown becomes too red on the seond day. I use a lash/brow tint. It stains the skins which fades over two days but the hair takes longer to fade. I might as well keep using it. Maybe I would only recommend this to ladies with absolutely no eyebrows

This was great on day 1 although the next morning I woke up to orange brows!

After reading reviews I decided to give the product a go (plus it just went on sale so was half price).
So easy for an average person to use. Lasted well past the 3 days as I was careful with makeup removal and didn't rub the brows.
Much more pleasant than having them tattooed again and a lot cheaper!
I use the grey brown because I have black brows and the colour is perfect. Pencil used to look too harsh but this seems to have a softer look!
Love it! Please don't discontinue ever!!!

The colour I chose was the one recommend by Maybelline for Blonde hair. I've used this product 3 times in just over a week to try to keep the colour consistent but it's very dark on the first day (far too dark for Blonde hair), the second day is better but has a Coppery tone and day three lt looks like my skin is stained patchy with a Nicotine kind of colour. A lighter colour would look much better.

I received this for free to try from influenster and was afraid the soft brown would be too light for my medium hair but it’s not! I’m glad I went with soft brown. I can’t even describe the consistency of this stuff. It’s great and looks beautiful in pictures and in real life. I was shocked I didn’t think I would find a product I love more than my ABH pomade and pencil but I will be re-purchasing this again when I run out instead of my abh I actually like this better! I was shocked! Cheaper, great product and for the price you get a lot! I AM OBSESSED.

I bought grey brown as my eyebrows are dark. It did give ut a bit of depth..not much difference..but its okay. Left it for an hour.

First of there are many reasons why I do love this product it is fast and very simple to do. Now some may think I'm crazy but I could easily spend an hour & a half on drawing my eyebrows on with powder. Although this does take two hours, within that time I can do what I wish! I'm not spending it drawing them on everyday..
I left this product on for two hours, some of my eyebrow looked amazing and where my eyebrows are very sparse of course it was a lot lighter.. if this does last for two or more days & doesn't leave a reddish undertone after the first I would recommend 100%.
The picture is 99% of the tattoo brows work, however where it was very light I did and a very small amount brow powder which took two mins not the normal hour or so!
This product for me works great, from other reviews it hasn't for others, but deffo worth a try!

Been wanting to try this type of product, since the korean cosmetic companies first came out with this type of product, was so excited when maybelline copied the product, was hoping it will be more suitable for my brows since its maybelinne. I definitely did not enjoy being made fun of by my friends. "What happen to your brow ?, why is it so orange ?" Maybe shes born with it.

I bought this last week and was very excited to use since it is such an important factor of my makeup application and overall look. I was the most excited about not having to do my eyebrows everyday. Well that is not the case I applied the gel in the morning before heading to work and when I removed my makeup in the afternoon the gel came off completely with it. I think Maybeline should remove the print of "lasts up to two days" since that is not the case. I am tired of makeup companies claiming one thing to make the consumer buy the product and then we are left with a product that doesn't work. very disappointed overall

I used to use this constantly like 5 years ago and the result was amazing.
But after I restart using this again in 2023, every single time it turns my eyebrows deep green color. Completely GREEN, like Nori of Sushi.
I've just tried again in 2026 and still GREEN.
I've been wondering what's wrong with this products?
There seems to be a bunch of complaints which insist exactly same thing. GREEN eyebrows.
Since this used to be a really good product, I hope Maybelline would sort this out soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While this is an amazing product I'm stoked to use when I go camping and won't be able to do my brows as I would on a regular day, it just doesn't meet all my standards. It's difficult to get a natural look with the applicator that comes with - I use a fine angled brow brush to apply and it does seem to help but I can't get the same dimension I would with other products. It does seem to last longer than the powders and wax that I typically use, but it does rub off while I'm sleeping unless I try to stay conscious about not sleeping on my sides. I think Maybelline could maybe do a little better with the applicator and possible get it to last longer and it would be great!
