Master Chrome Highlighter

This is definitely a MUST have highlighter of summer 2017. It's extremely pigmented and doesn't have a lot of fall out. It last literally all day long though blood, sweat, and tears. The color is so beautiful and it complements any skin tone. Since the highlighter is so pigmented it can double up as an eyeshadow as well. It has a beautiful shade to it that really make my brown eyes pop and look more golden. You can also pat it over your lipstick to help your lipstick stay all day long and give it a really nice glow for the summer. This product is so versatile and everyone should have it in their makeup bag for the summer.

This highlighter has the most amazing molten gold colour I have ever seen. It is buttery and soft, and the finely milled sparkles go on flawlessly. In addition, there is also a while lotta product in the tin so you are definitely getting a lot of bang for your buck.\nMy only complaint is that it doesn't come in more shades. I am far to fair skinned for this colour, which would work better on bronzed, olive or golden skin tones. In particular, this would be a great highlighter on Asian skin tones due to the gold and warmth. However, because I loved it so much, I am now using it as the most amazing golden eyeshadow. Win!\n

What an awesome highlighter!

It comes as a pressed powder and is so easy to use. It wasn't not too intense in the color which meant that I could build up the highlighted finish gradually and not look like a Christmas bauble straight away. The powder is a warm tone not cold, so the glow it leaves on the skin looks natural.

I applied it on top of my foundation after using blush with a highlighter blush. I used it on my nose, cheeks, temples, forehead and on top of my lip.

I would definitely buy it again if I am ever able to finish this one I have now. It looks like it will last forever since little goes a long way.

To add to the glowing reviews (pun intended) I was pleasantly surprised by this highlighter. It looked very shimmery in the compact and I was initially worried about looking like a disco ball HOWEVER if applied with a light touch it offers a subtle and luminous glow which is exactly what a good highlighter should do. The product is smooth and buttery, I applied using my fingers and very lightly blended across my cheek bones, down the centre of my nose and in my Cupid’s bow. Every time I have worn this highlighter I have received compliments on my makeup. Congratulations to Maybelline for creating a highlighter that feels and looks good with a very reasonable price point, 

Wow! I really love this highlighter! It is so smooth and creamy in texture and the pigment pay off is amazing! I love anything shiny or sparkling and this has definitely won me over! It was super easy to apply and I love how buildable it is. I have also used it with a wet flat brush to create a beautiful foiled eyeshadow, it really made my eyes pop! I love that it is such a good price, the pan is massive so I will get alot of product and uses out if it. This highlighter kind of reminds me of a Becca highlighter, very similar so if you're looking for a dupe I would reccomend this product! I will be reccomending this highligher to all of my glitter loving friends for sure! 

I have been complimented on this highlighter so often that I have to actually talk about it now! It comes in a black pan with a clear plastic lid, which makes the shine super evident. I love that this can be dusted onto the skin lightly for that sunkissed glow, or packed on to really strobe and show the world just how much you can sparkle! It is a gold based highlighter, and I place this on my cheekbones to really make them pop, and on the tip of my nose, down the bridge, on my cupid's bow, as well as a light dusting on the forehead.\n\nThe shimmer is just beautiful and this is also incredibly affordable. Make sure you get your hands on this, because it's beyond stunning!\n

I will say I'm not the easiest to impress when it comes to makeup, I have high standards- what can I say? This is a HIGHLY pigmented and blend able highlighter that could also easily double for an eye shadow. In my photo I am bare-faced, using the Maybelline master chrome to highlight my cheek bone, brow bone and also used as an eyeshadow on my lid. I am very pleased with this product, and will repurchase for sure. It comes with a ton of product though, so it'll be a while before I need more! So happy Influenster included me in this complimentary vox box!

I was amazed at how stunning this looked on my skin! It isn't a shimmery or chunky highlighter in any way - it's truly does look like molten gold! I have quite fair skin so I have to be extremely cautious with how much I apply, but I can make it work by mixing it in with my bronzer for that sunkissed Summer glow. It's a very smooth powder and I didn't find it to emphasize any uneven texture on my skin which is always great. If you're after a blinding highlight that can be seen from miles away, wetting your brush will definitely intensify it for a nighttime look. A part from the shade not being quite right for my skin tone, I think it's an absolutely beautiful highlighter!   

I really loved this  highlighter. I have a warmer skin tone and the golden shimmer of this highlighter complemented my colouring perfectly.\nWhen applied to upper cheek bones, bridge of my nose and cupid's bow it gave my face a glow that looked very narural (more like a glow from the inside out). It worked sensationally as a shimmering eyeshadow also.\nThe wear of this product is fsntastic. It didn't clog my pores or irritate my skin and lasted all day without dulling.\nI'll continue to use this product and would happily recommend it to anyone who wants a natural, healthy, golden glow. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This highlighter can compare to pretty much any high end highlighter I own. There’s no glitter, so it just leaves a beautiful glow. I’m very fair skinned, so usually pinky highlight doesn’t work on me, but I can use this on my cheekbones and high points of my face, or as a blush topper and it always looks gorgeous. I also love that it doesn’t emphasize my pores. The only drawback is it doesn’t stay perfect all day. It faded about 4-5 hours into my day, but I was still impressed by this wear time for something so inexpensive. For a drugstore product, I’m blown away. This is one I’ll be recommending to everyone.

This highlighter is such a gorgeous colour! It looks really gold in the pan however goes on as a nice golden glow, perfect for anyone but super light skins. \n\nI tried using this with both a fan brush and a a damp beauty blender, and i loved using it with the fan brush as it give me a 'lit from within' glow, however I do not recommend using a damp beauty blender as it clumped on the blender and gave a really uneven application. \n.\nIf you're looking for a blinding highligher this isn't for you, however if you don't usually use highlighter or just want something to give you a glow, I highly recommend this!\n

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am giving this four stars because it works so much better as an eyeshadow. It works ok as a facial highlighter however you must use a wet beauty blender for that. As an artist we don’t always go by the label I found it much better as a shadow it applies beautifully and you can see the pigment. However on the face it is very blendable on the skin it’s very subtle more like a candle lit glow. This color is beautiful both ways it looks melted on the skin. It’s the formula itself. It’s all about how intense you want your highlight to be. The color is beautiful well thought out will work on a lot of undertones.

BUT when i used a brush I really had to put layers and layers on. It also didn’t look as lit when i put it on using the brush. After several applications i decided to use it just under my eyebrows to add some glimmer to my look and it looked pretty good there. I used it at my Cupid’s now as well but found this this isn’t a very long lasting formula. At the price point it’s at it is ok for me but not something I would purchase beyond receiving this as a product to try. Sorry just not for me.

This looks so pretty and a little goes a long way. I use this stuff all over the place I even highlight my collar bones and shoulders and my skin literally gleams in the sunlight. The color rose gold is true to shade and really helps my pale skin shine. This doesnt slide all over my face or make me look like a greasy mess at all. I work outdoors and it stays put all day no matter the weather. This has a very gorgeous metallic glow that I usually just sweep on with a makeup brush.

I’m not as well versed on highlighters as other products, so maybe that is the entire point of the product :). I like it, it went well with the makeup I chose for the evening, and it is not messy. It’s easy enough to apply, though it would be cool if they thought to make this as a roll on stick. This is definitely the best highlighter I’ve tried so far. The packaging is simple and the colors are very pigmented. The highlighter gives me a beautiful blend-able glow that makes my skin look plush and even. I can’t get over how mesmerizing it looks. If you’re in love with the natural fresh makeup look, you’ll adore this. It gives that “I’m a skincare model” glow. Forget tired dull skin- my skin looks rich! I freaking love this highlighter!! I loved the look of it, gold and super shimmery and it made me instantly excited to try it out! I tried this our with my natural fair skin, and it blended out very easily giving a natural, glowy sheen to my cheekbones. I then decided to give it a fair trial I would try it out after fake tanning and it worked super well with my makeup when tanned too. This highlighter looks so glam and over the top but it is beautifully smooth and an absolutely gorgeous highlighter for anyone. The product itself has no overpowering odour and it is possibly the most blendable but affordable drug store highlighter I've come accross that still gives an really natural look!

I heard mixed reviews about this product, but alas I decided to try it for myself. I really like it! Molten Gold like an even more intense Champagne Pop. I read a few reviews where people thought it was TOO heavy, but if you use a light hand, you can definitely make it work. I like to apply a small amount to the tops of my cheekbones. It is really flashy and reflective but so pretty! The creamy formula is smooth; I recommend applying with a synthetic bristle brush. Molten Gold is definitely great, high impact affordable highlighter. I hope Maybelline comes out with more shades--I will be buying!

This highlighter is stunning and so easy to admire the geometric print embossed into the highlighter pan through the transparent lid. \n\nThe powder is very finely milled, with no chunky bits of glitter. It is extremely pigmented, only a gentle swipe goes a long way especially for day wear. It is incredibly blendable into the skin and does not leave any harsh streaking, the effect is almost like it has melted into your skin. I have pale skin and was afraid this would be too yellow but I can say it is still very flattering and has a gorgeous light reflecting glow. When combined with a spray of Mac Fix Plus, I found that it lasted all day which is pretty impressive for a drugstore highlighter!\n\n

The packaging is simple but nice, easy to open, and I like the pressing pattern. The glow is beautiful, there’s no glitter in this which I absolutely appreciate! Unfortunately the molten gold shade is just a bit too dark for a highlighter on my skin tone. This is, of course, not the fault of the product. (I wear “Snow” in born this way foundation and “lighter than light” in BalmShelter tinted moisturizer) it doesn’t give me the correct highlight on a cheekbone. It’s great as an eyeshadow, which is how I’ll continue to use it, but I bet you could also use it as a blush topper. It picks up well on a brush, and fingers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I’ve done my makeup, I’ve never used highlighter before just because I didn’t know which one to get and how to even apply it. I’m glad this was sent to me so now I can say that I have highlighter in my makeup bag. It’s a really pretty color and I didn’t have to use too much for it to make an impact on my face. That was the one thing I learned right away. It comes up very strongly if you have a lot of it on your makeup brush. It took having to start over with my makeup routine to get the highlighter just right. It’s going to take some trial and error as I learn how to incorporate highlighter into my makeup routine, but overall, I’m glad I used it today and I’m looking forward to using it again.
