Luckily, there are a few tricks you can try to avoid the notoriously unavoidable racoon eyes. First, be sure to cleanse the skin before starting your makeup routine. If you have oily skin, you can also dab an oil blotting sheet on your face to remove excess oils. Next, use an eye primer for your lids. This will help keep your eyeliner and eyeshadow from fading (or smearing all over the place). As for your eyeliner – opt for a long-wearing or a waterproof formula. To make your waterproof eye pencil last the distance, use a setting powder, or spritz your eye makeup with a setting spray to lock your makeup in place. You can also apply some powder eyeshadow to your eyeliner using an eyeliner brush. This works significantly well if the eyeshadow is the same colour as your chosen eyeliner.
