Colossal Bubble Washable Mascara

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am delighted with the Maybelline New York Colossal Bubble Washable Mascara, firstly by its attractive bright cheerful yellow tube. My fave colour!

The mascara applies beautifully. The brush was easy to handle, even with my more mature lashes, and it glided on smoothly without clumping. I only needed one or two coats and my lashes looked fuller that opened up my eyes nicely. It is perfect for everyday wear.

Even at the end of a full day, my lashes felt soft, not stiff. And the washable formula is great, easily washed off my micellar water.Just a swipe or two and its done.

The fun colour and big size makes it so easy to find in my abyss of a bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the applicator brush and bristles, coating and providing great separation of my lashes. My lashes were a lot more voluminous, and plumper and the curl seemed to hold for the majority of the day.

I can apply one coat seemlessly but starts to get clumpy and gluggy when I add a second coat. I usually comb out the clumps. Now, I simply apply one coat only.

I found that with continued use, it does get clumpier on the brush/wand which can make application a challenge. A quick wipe with a moist makeup wipe helps.

I found that the lift I initially got, doesn't stay in place all day and towards the end of the work day, a little transfer.

But if you want more volume you can definitely layer it up and it still looks great. The wand isn’t curved but the bristles are, which helps lift and separate my lashes really well.

It lasts all day on me and doesn’t smudge or flake, which is awesome, especially for a drugstore mascara. The only thing is it takes a little extra effort to remove at night but it does come off completely so it’s not a problem. The packaging is simple and cute. I wish it was a little more rounded and fun but that’s not a big deal because the product itself is what really matters.

The brush does a great job at separating the lashes, and extending the appearance of the lashes. It did clump my lashes together at times and I had to brush it out a bit to separate them. I found it lasted the day pretty well, with my lashes looking as black and defined as they did when I’d first applied it. I also have sensitive skin around my eyes and it didn’t seemed to upset it, when I’d forget to remove the mascara before showering, which is a plus! I don’t think this is Maybelline’s best mascara but it’s a good every day wear one.

I love how buildable it is, you can go for a more natural look with one coat, or add a few more layers for fuller, longer lashes that still look soft and defined. I loved the length and definition it gave my lashes! A very noticeable difference with one coat and a real "pop" with two!
Love the applicator, really got to every lash to help with definition.
I'm a contact lense wearer and had no issues.
Removal was very easy with warm water.
The only issue I had and probably the only thing that would stop me from buying it again, is I found it smudged quite a bit, I ended up with black marks under my eyes most days - nothing terrible, but definitely a bit smudgy. It could possibly be because I don't use powder under my eyes though.

It didn't clump my lashes and I felt it lengthened in a natural way. The bristles look short but it did it's job by separating the individual lashes.

The formula is excellent, it stayed on all day and barely had any smudging. It wasn't able to hold my curls up and I did notice my lashes drooping as the day went on. I could see myself combining this mascara with another layer of waterproof mascara to counteract that.

It has a straight applicator, which I wish the wand was curved because it was messy the first few times I used it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mascara is great, it's buildable and added a lot of volume to my lashes. The product comes in a cute yellow tube and has a super handy rubber brush, that has different length bristles to help get into hard places around the lashes. The pigment is great, I tried "Very black" which is perfect for my short asian lashes.
It's also non clogging and easily buildable, the only issue I found with the mascara was that it was quite hard to get off, which is quite good for travelling or when you want the mascara to stay on all day.
To remove I would use micellar water and that wasn't enough, so I had to use a oil cleanser and then a micellar water.

This mascara makes your lashes look LONG! The wand for the product is twisted and has a heap of bristles, coating all of your lashes. In my experience using it, the mascara definitely lengthens and volumises lashes, but can be a bit clumpy for my lashes. It clumps them into little clumps of long lashes instead of being a clumpy formula. I tried wiping off a majority of the product off the wand before applying, and that helped with this clumping. Overall, I do like the product, just takes a bit of finesse to work for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have short lashes and when applying most mascaras, they just make my lashes look darker with no lift or volume, so I was interested in trying the Maybelline New York Colossal Bubble Washable Mascara. Well, I was pleasantly surprised, not only did it make my lashes look longer but the wand was easy to apply an even coat. I did find though after applying two coats it did start to look a bit clumpy, so for me I will stick to one coat. When it came time to cleansing my face, I found the cleanser I use to be effective and the mascara was removed with minimal effort. Would I recommend and use this mascara again – most certainly!!

The mascara had incredible volume in just a few swipes. I haven’t had any fallout or crumbling either. The eye liner was easy to draw with and is the perfect shade of black.

The lifter glazes were very surprising for me! Neither shade is one I’d usually reach for, for the lippie was creamy and fun! I think they’d be great to apply over bolder colors to tone them down. I also appreciated that they didn’t have a strong fragrance or flavor. These totally remind me of my highschool makeup- but better! It’s amazing how far makeup has come.

I I though it added a great coating of colour and made my lashes look thicker. My only downfall was that it was at risk of being clumpy. My solution for this is usually to use a lash curler first to really separate the lashes and then I use another mascara for length and then this one on top for more volume. I love the packaging of this product, the bright yellow makes it easy to find in my makeup bag. I also liked the wand! I thought it was the perfect size. Would use this product again!

This mascara provides instant voluminous eyelashes that really makes my eyes pop. The wand is not large so it’s not difficult to get all of your lashes, it also does not cause a mess all over. It does separate well and lift. I do like the formula because it seems to take less layers to achieve the look I typically prefer. It also washes off easily at the end of the day and stays put through out the day. My only complaint is that the bristles do pick up more product than they need to, I think this is because the opening doesn’t catch as much when you pull it out. It’s not a huge problem though, I just rub it along the sides a little more as I pull it out and that solves the problem for the most part!

The packaging is super cute and the brush looks super nice but sadly this product was not a new favourite. I have long but very straight lashes so when looking for a new mascara it has to be able to hold the curl. I found after half an hour my lashes were back to being straight. I also found it to be super clumpy and gave me spider leg lashes. I also would get horrible transfer under my eyes but I do have oily lids so this probably wouldn’t happen to others that don’t deal with this. I did like the length that it gave me but I personally wouldn’t purchase this product again

My lashes weren't lifted or it didn't make my lashes hold their curl anymore than what any other mascara has, despite seeing rave reviews, I didn't experience that!
It does dry quite quickly so fixing up clumpy lashes is time sensitive, it wore well under false lashes though!
It didn't smudge, but it did crust and flake off which in turn created some smudging.. it gave a very hardened and dry lashes look for myself!
I did use it over conditioning lash serum and found it applied a little better, but it just ended up smudging a lot more.. maybe I'm yet to find my happy medium!

Even after one coat, your lashes are thick and lengthened, and with two coats or more they look amazing. It's a great all rounder mascara, offering length and volume without going clumpy, and it also maintains a curl. The formula is not tubing, but I found that it caused minimal smudging even after all day wear. Another great addition to Maybelline's mascara line, and the best I have tried for a while.

The black shade is lovely and rich and beautiful, and the texture is fine, but I personally only use waterproof formulas these days, so this one doesn’t suit my needs. I also prefer a mascara that spreads more evenly with less clumping, and the brush design simply doesn't give me the definition I was hoping for. Still, I think it’s a fun product with a bold look that’s probably best suited to younger consumers or those who enjoy a more dramatic, playful lash style. For me, though, it wasn’t the best fit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is false lashes in a tube. It's amazing. It defines your lashes and separates them while also making it seem like its added extra length. It has a beautiful bold colour giving instantly awake eyes and an easy to use curved wand separates your lashes, its easy to use and applies the formula evenly. The shape of the wand means as you give a slight twirl while applying, it evenly coats your lashes without any clumping. Given the bold colour it is important to remove completely at the end of the day. I have exercised while wearing it without smudge. This mascara will make me switch from my regular tubing option.

The bright yellow packaging certainly stands out, but I thought the product was quite large in size.

The wand is always something that interests me and I was excited to see that it had one that have used before and I quite like as I find it easier to apply and lashes don’t get clumped together. It’s a nice black colour, makes your lashes look long and the formula stays on all day without smudging or flaking, but is still easy enough to remove at the end of the day.

The mascara glided on nice and smooth onto my lashes and the ergonomic wand felt really nice when applying the product for a night out. Due to being short sighted, I sometimes struggle with mascara but no issues with this particular one. I felt like my lashes were conditioned and did notice a nice separation between the individual lashes after just one coat. The consistency was quite silky and it’s comfortable to wear, with no problems removing it afterwards. I would recommend this version of mascara for everyday wear as well as a glam night out.

However, this brush has a unique feature, which some people may love, while others may find it a bit... "annoying". The bush is actually completely covered in bristles, but only some of them are standing. When the brush is pulled from the mascara tube, some of the bristles are held down, but if you're old-school and like to scrape the excess off the brush, you'll in fact release the rest of the bristles giving you a full brush. If you twist the brush tip on the way out, the bristles don't come in the same arrangement as if you'd pulled the brush out in a single motion. Do with that what you will.

This was a close contender! The mascara was easy to apply from day one and didn't feel like it had to dry out to get a better application. It gave great amount of volume which I love, especially since I wear glasses, I want my lashes still noticeable. And I found it came off quite easily at the end of the day. The only thing I noticed was a few specks on my face by the end of the day which I don't get with all mascaras but I like the lash result enough that it doesn't bother me too much.
