Provides good colour/definition to the eye lashes, but I wouldn't say It provides a lot more volume/lengthening. It helps in terms of the making the lashes look darker. no clumping and inexpensive, readily available. Long wear, I have kept it on all day and definitely waterproof/smudge proof. \n\nI have used it for a few years now and it is my go to everyday mascara, but if I wanted something that really lengthened my lashes/provided volume, I would choose something else over this. This mascara is easily removed with the Garnier micellar water. \nI wear contact lenses and have had no issues in terms of irritation. \n

I've used this for many years and love that it is really waterproof and smudgeproof. I've tried more expensive brands, thinking they had to be better since they cost more, but wasn't as happy with their performance. I do miss the brown color once offered. It looks so much more natural on blonds. The brown/black is OK, but the true brown was better. I see some reviewers are expecting it to be magic- staying on until you want to easily wash it off. Ha! The easiest way I've found to remove it is with a dab of real cold cream. Rub the closed lashes between thumb and forefinger with the cold cream. Tissue off. Then soap and water, as you wash the rest of your face. Simple and efficient.
Yes, I recommend this product.

A good basic mascara, it does give the appearance of thicker lashes and It definitely is waterproof! I have a lot of trouble trying to remove this. I would pick the non waterproof version over this one.

My sister bought this from a store, and I tried it on. To put it simply, everything was a wreck from the start. Applying it took forever, as it did not layer, and it clumped my eyelashes together and made it look like someone put black play-dough in them. It definitely doesn't come off, either. I applied warm water to my eyelashes, then went to wipe it all off with makeup removal wipes, that didn't work. Then, I took the wipes, added lotion to it, and tried again. . . Still didn't work. Eventually, it got the point where I gave up taking it off, because I lost several eyelashes in the process of trying to get it all off. Yet to no avail, because it's still on. If I could sue this company a million times over, I would.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This used to be my daily mascara for many years. It's a really good all-rounder, with a slightly wetter formula than some other products. I used to like that it came in brownish black, though that seems impossible to find these days. I think it stopped making me look for other mascaras. The wand is a smaller size and easier to use for those with smaller eyes than the large volumising brushes that seem to now predominate. It's still a great one to have in your handbag, but I think I've moved on slightly since trying many more mascaras in the past year or so. \n

Hard to get off?

I've used Great Lash for years and have loved it. But the most recent tube I bought seems to have a different formula. The Almay eye makeup remover pads that I've been using forever are suddenly completely defenseless against this mascara. It is very difficult to get off, and when I wake up in the morning, I have black smudges under my eyes. When I reapply for the new day, the previous days leftovers flake off in my eyes. Not sure what is going on, but there is no way I'm going to be able to use the rest of this tube. I'm going to have to find another brand.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A classic! This mascara is what the little black dress is to every girls wardrobe, a staple. In a world full of new trends and products, it never fails to deliver and has stood the test of time. It offers the right balance of volume, extension and pigment and has great staying power, but also very easy to remove. It is almost impossible to clump this mascara and it gives a beautiful natural look, but also enough "oomph" to make a difference. Super inexpensive and extremely effective, perfect for both top and bottom lashes- you can't go passed it!

This is a very good basic mascara for a very good price point. There are many mascaras on the market that you can pay double, triple the price but this does the trick. I purchase this in the blackest black and I switch mascaras but will come back to this one every now and then. You can't do much better for the price. \n\nIt is a basic mascara and doesn't have a fancy brush wand and is probably much smaller brush compared to other mascaras. It gives lashes a good coating and I usually re-apply 1 or 2 more coats. I find this good for every day where to the office where you don't need such dramatic lashes and a natural look is nice. I do find the wear is not very good as I will start to get panda eyes towards the end of a long working day. \n
