I have used the master precious liquid eyeliner pen for years and years. I wear a cat eye every single day and it has been the best brush tip and formula ever until it changed recently. The top went from almost like a brush to a spongy but scratchy huge cone. It’s terrible and so hard to use and I consider myself an eyeliner expert. And to make it worse, the formula isn’t as black, is patchy and wears off by the afternoon. Worst decision ever and I read Maybellines replies that this was based on customer feedback which I cannot understand as this was the best most universally loved eyeliner on the internet so why would you ruin it?!?!?! Devastated.

This was my go-to eyeliner that I have been using faithfully for YEARS. When I went to purchase my latest replacement I noticed that the packaging had changed, but little did I know that the actual pen and formula itself has changed too.

The new tip is made of a spongey material and is much thicker and longer than the old pen. This makes it hard to control and makes it impossible to draw the thin lines anymore. The sponge tip is also incredibly long and scrapes on the lid when you take it on and off. I've only used it once and already the sponge tip has frayed.

Why fix something that isn't broken? I am so sad that my favourite eyeliner from all these years is now useless. Please change it back or else I'll be searching for a new brand of eyeliner to use.

This WAS the perfect eyeliner, but you have ruined it. This redesign of the master precise is horrible. It’s not precise, the tip is dry and doesn’t create a sharp line or wing, it’s not easy to use AT ALL. And the formulaaa whhhhyyyyyyy did you change it? It smudges in the corner of your eye over the day or if it gets bumped and is SO hard to remove! This new product is the absolutely worst. Lost a customer. Not interested in using the other eyeliner products otherwise I would have already been using them.

Please put this product in the bin where it belongs and bring back the best eyeliner on the market!

Loved the previous formula and brush tip, used it every day ever since it was released. Purchased the new version a couple of days ago and can't emphasise enough what a let down it is. New tip is a sponge that doesn't allow for the "precise" application of the previous design and horrible formula.

I purchased the forest brown colour which I do enjoy the appearance of, however, I'm not sure whether its because of the new sponge tip or a different formula but this does not seem to last nearly as long as the blackest black in the previous version.

So disappointed by the loss of what I considered one of my holy grail products :(. Used to always recommend the previous version when asked but definitely wont recommend this one.

I have been a long time user of this eyeliner. It WAS my holy grail eyeliner - it beat ALL the top end brands in my opinion. I would always recommend it. The recent change to packaging and product is horrible. Don’t waste your money, this is nothing like the previous formula, tip or packaging (the lid comes off easily in my makeup bag). Like other loyal fans, I am so disappointed with the new version - I immediately noticed the difference in one application. You will lose a lot of fans - listen to your feedback and bring back the old version.

Why change the formula and tip design of one of the best long lasting eye liners on the market? I have been using this product since it came on the market many years ago and have recommended it to everyone. I work in a humid environment and this eyeliner was the only one that stayed put all day. It took me years to find one that would perform in the environment I work in. I have been using the new formula for 2 weeks and by noon it has faded and started to run everywhere, including into my eyes. I'm so disappointed with this product. I really don't understand why it has been changed...? Please take note of the recent reviews you have on your page because we are all saying the same thing. Bring back the old formula and flexible tip because this product does not work!

I used the old version of this eyeliner religiously as it wad comparable to the likes of the Stila eyeliner but at 1/3 the cost. Great tip and formula was smudge proof and waterproof but easy to remove.

Now the new packaging and formula is quite possibly one of the worst eyeliners. Similar to the cheap ones you can get that deserve to sit unused in an old makeup bag. Tip is a rough sponge with no ability to get a thin inconspicuous line or cat eye without looking like a drag queen. The formula itself smudges and doesn’t go the distance. So hard to remove even with eye makeup remover. God awful - need to find another eyeliner now.

Moral of the story - don’t fix what isn’t broken. Won’t be Australia’s #1 eyeliner much longer. -_-

I have been a loyal fan and customer of the old master precise liner. Now the packaging and formula have changed and now it is the WORST liner I have ever tried to use. The tip is DRY, it doesnt come out on your lid but scrapes across your lid irritating it. The old tip was soft and inky and perfect, the new one is dry and useless. I just stocked up and bought 5 and now have to throw them all out and find a new brand. Would like a refund and explanation.
