TattooStudio™ Liquid Ink Eyeliner

This has an odd filmy sticky texture - similar to say an eyelash glue or a tubing mascara.
It takes a very long time to dry, remains super shiny and peels off in sticky chunks. I do not recommend for anyone who has any sort of oil on their eyelids as it will start breaking up after a few minutes.
I have tried various primers, powder and shadows to set and this does not work. I'm not sure who is getting 36 hour wear out of this - I'm lucky to get an hour before it starts to peel off.
On the up side, it's really easy to remove - warm water will remove it.

i’ve been using this eyeliner for nearly a year now and it’s my go to, the dark henna brown compliments my eyes so much and i love it so much but recently (the last week or so) i went to buy a new one as i normally would but it was so watery and the colour barley showed up, i thought maybe it was just the shop i bought it at so i went a few days later to get a new one elsewhere and same problem. it’s like putting water paint onto a paper and the consistency is the same too. i’m not sure if it’s a new sample but please bring the old one, i beg 🙏🙏

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to preface this with the fact that I suck at applying liquid liner in all forms. As far as this one goes it is a dark and glossy finish. The applicator tip is a little softer than I'd like, and I had quite a bit of trouble. I'm thinking that maybe it just needs a little time to dry up just a tad so it's not so "wet." Anyway, after I finally got sad excuse for winged liner done it stayed put until I took it off- so points for wear time for sure! Over all this is a good quality liner, and I am glad that Influenster sent it over to me.

I love love Maybelline makeup. I've been using it since I was a teenager. This eyeliner however is horrible. I couldn't figure it out for the longest time because of it's rubbery weird consistency. Even if you try to go over a spot to correct it all of the liner pulls up. If you have lash extensions, oh dear god don't use this. If it gets in the lashes it makes a huge mess and clumps your lashes all together..good luck with that. Most of my extensions came out after trying to get this goo out of them. $$

This eyeliner was suggested to me. I was told it was similar to the ultra liner that was recently discontinued. I had been using ultra liner for 30 plus years. The tattoo liner has less product in it. It does have a shine to it that the ultra liner does not have. It is not as durable and it cracks as the day goes on. The applicator is not a brush. It kind of skips on my skin when I'm applying it. I hope this helps someone that is desperately trying to find a replacement for the ultra liner like I am.

Their eyeliner goes on smooth does not smudge and seems to be water resistant I love the product best I have ever used. The down side is the packaging there is no way to rise what is left in the container to the top and it comes into a plastic container so when you sharpen it it continues to break off. Even though I love the product the packaging is enough for me not to purchase again very disappointed in Maybelline they did not think their packaging through you need to pay attention to detail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really easy to use. Im not the greatest at eyeliner but this made it easy. It glides on nicely with the pointed tip. Some liners like to bleed on my eye lid once placed (if that makes sense) but this one didnt. The downfall is that i have realllly hooded lids and kinda oily skin. So although it stayed on majority of the day at the end of the day the top liner was a coming off. If you do not have really hooded eyes then this is for you! All in all i still like it and will continue to use it.

I purchased this eye liner after I saw the commercial and I was intrigued by how long it claimed to last. However after purchasing this product I am extremely disappointed. The way it applies is a little weird. It dried in a sticky leathery texture and is extremely shiny in a bad way. After an hour it actually separates and left me with gaps in my wings. I'm glad it happened at home though.. I wanted to love this but I think it's the worst I've ever tried.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this, as I could really use a cheaper alternative for my liquid liners, but I was seriously underwhelmed. It went on easily, the applicator was great, and the pigment was phenomenal. Where it really dropped off was the lasting power. I wore this out to a summer function, and it melted off from my lash line, leaving a weird space between my lash line and my liner. I wouldnt repurchase sadly. I did receive this free for testing purposes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, liquid eyeliner is part of my every day makeup routine. Ive tried all the most popular ones to find my favorite (MAC brushstroke.) This Maybelline Tattoostudio liner is very easy and smooth to apply. It goes on with a velvety finish and looks beautiful at first! After a few hours of wear, I found this liner smudging and wearing off. Great product, but wouldnt recommend for extended wearing or if you plan on sweating/get oily throughout the day at all.

The eyeliner was good for the first week, then the liquid started to dry out & become stringy. The next time, on opening the product, eyeliner flicked over my new t-shirt in several places. I couldnt get it off even after trying so many solutions. I sent an email to Maybelline. I also asked to suggest a solution to removing the marks. A representative responded that they take no responsibilty for their products on clothing. End of query.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If youre looking for a long wear liquid liner that doesnt budge, look no further than the Maybelline Tattoostudio Liquid Ink Eyeliner. I love how dark this black liner gets and the thin brush lets you achieve the thinnest or thickest line you want on your eyes. I wore this out last night on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and it didnt move in the 100+ degree desert weather. Pretty impressive considering I didnt wear an eye primer and my eyelids tend to be on the oilier side. The only reason I gave this product a 4/5 stars is because the liner was hard to blend in the beginning because I didnt wipe the brush off before applying the liner (I applied it directly from dipping it in the container). As long as you wipe the brush off before applying it to your eyes, this product is easy to apply and will be easy to build if you want a darker or thicker line. Love!

Bought it and was very excited to try it out as it stated extended period of wear and seemed like a smooth formula, unfortunately discovered the worst product I have EVER tried. Does not match description in the slightest and I couldn't even put it on as it has such a disgustingly gooey, sticky formula. Made me think how can a brand big as Maybelline even release this in the in the first place, I 1000% DO NOT recommend.

I just started wearing this because I was looking for a waterproof mascara that would last all day. Not only doesnt last all day but when its time to take it out it doesnt make a big mess all the noise it comes out thats if it was plastic in one piece. The only downside is that if I water and you touch your eyeliner you might be missing a piece of it and that is not flattering. But I would highly recommend this product.

Long lasting and very intense. i would recommend it to people who loves the super black intense eyeliner look but it is something i dont go for so i would not purchase it after i use mine up but still keeping it for special occasions like glam night out with my girls. a big pro for me is the applicator- very easy to use and it is tapered which is perfect for making the perfect winged eyeliner look.

So this formula sucks. This is literally the worst liquid eyeliner I have ever used. I'm not a picky girl and I'm not a newby with makeup. Used dozens of brands trying to find the perfect one. The applicator is actually really nice. It doesn't move too much. Gives really good control. The opaqueness is nice. Very intense black. The formula however is just awful. Its very watery so it kind of dilutes it. It was beautiful then it started kind of smearing. So I went back over it to fix it. Oh Lord it literally picked up everything I just did and crumbled onto my undereye. Like I probably used a quarter of the eyeliner trying to fix my eye because it just kept crumbling and picking the old product off my eye. There are much better eyeliners out there. This was very disappointing. I'm very serious about my eyeliner and this turned me into an angry Karen. It's in the garbage.

Because I can never get my fineliner when I go shopping I thought I'd try the Tattoo studio. Heartbreak. The package states smudge resistant, up to 36hr (to be honest I don't know what is supposed to be up to 36h) but within half an hour of trying it it's made my eyelid feel clogged and it's peeled like glue of a kindergartners fingers. It's sad you have to waste your money to discover how terrible a product is.

I've been really keen to try this product so during a sale, I bought one in brown, one in black. It's not the worst liquid eyeliner I've used but it IS terrible. Takes too long to dry so it ends up on your eyelid. After just a few hours, it's shifted to under the eye and that perfect face of make-up you applied has now turned into panda-eyes. I'm glad I paid half price, I'd be livid if I'd paid full price.

When I bought this product, I was learning to use liquid eyeliner and I thought all the liquid eye liners are this sticky and glue like. After tried many other eyeliner, I realized how weird this product was. It dries out super quickly. The only good thing about this eyeliner is that if you are practicing drawing eyeliners, you can remove it easily, without makeup remover. You can just peal it like a glue.

What I look for in a great eyeliner is one that is easy to use and gives great pigment with one line. This did a great job with being easy to use if you are a fan of this tip. The one thing I didnt like was how many layers I had to do to get the desired color.

I've been using an expensive liquid eyeliner for years - it never smudged and lasted all day. I loved the saturated color and the tip provides an even line. I ran out of my liner and was desperate to get something quick, so I went to the drug store and found this. Wow. For more than 1/2 the price, this delivers the same outcome. I'm shocked and thrilled to find my new favorite liquid eyeliner!

Its the blackest black, and it LASTS! If i didnt wash my makeup off the night before (ya girl is lazy sometimes haha) it was STILL there after sleeping. It even lasted through a drunken night at a concert, with allergies and sleeping in the car on the way home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Full disclosure: this is a difficult transition from using gel liner with a proper brush. HOWEVER, this product lays down nice & opaque. It requires drying time between layers. The component feels light in the hand & is easy to work with. Most importantly, this is truly sweat resistant & lasted a hot/muggy DC day. I would recommend to someone who is comfortable using a fine, pinpoint brush.

Its pigmented and lasted on my eyes pretty much all day. I like the amount of control it has and the thin applicator is great to really build up how much wing you want or if you just want a thin line. Ill keep using this for sure! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The only thing I am having a hard time with from my @Maybelline VoxBox is the eyeliner. I find it dries down too fast which makes it almost impossible to draw over a little gap when filling it in, causing it to pull up everything else and a couple times I had to start all over. I might go back to my old method of putting on a pencil liner, and just using this to sharpen the lines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has a nice precise tip that allows the liquid eyeliner to go on quite smoothly without a great deal of mess, it is VERY black which I love, but it wipes off very easily even once dried. I was able to wipe off a large amount with just one light rub of my finger, nearly removing it completely, and smudging the rest. I was quite disappointed because it had a very nice look.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the product, it was easy to apply. It didn't bleed or smear, however, it was not as long lasting as it claimed to be. I will note that I have very oily lids, that might have worsen the wear time, i think i will give it another chance wearing a primer or concealer underneath. The color was good, could have been more matte, but that is just personal preference.

This eyeliner is the best one I’ve tried so far. Reasonable price, easy application, lasts all day (even in the heat). I’m someone who has hooded eyes and oily eyelids and I’ve struggled with eyeliner in the past because it will disappear within hours of wear. But this eyeliner lasts all day and easily comes off with standard makeup remover. 10/10 would recommend!
