Tattoo Studio Smokey Gel Eyeliner Pencil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I used this liner, I would use it i my waterline. I’ve never been able to use smudge liner without ending up with raccoon eyes. I did try with this liner, and I did fail. That being said, it is very creamy and glides on easily without skipping. If the smudge liner look is for you and you know how to execute it, then I definitely recommend. However, even if smudging isn’t your favorite look, the liner still looks beautiful in the waterline. I’m not sure if you could do a wing though because the tip does dull almost immediately

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] smuges before it dries and when it dries and sets it sets for along time i wore the eyeliner for 12 hr straight and ni smudge i even did a wing with it and took a nap woke up went to class eyeliner still was on point this is anazing i eish they had more than 3 collors like a olive a forest green a navey and a cream and a white and. mustard yellow would be nice in this formula hopefully they add on. thanks ingluencer for giving me this product to reviw i found my replace ment for my marc jacob eyeliner this is now my new fave.

I had it applied for several hours and it remained intact, in addition to the fact that the color is very vibrant and highlights the eye a lot, I tried to use the effect for smoke but I feel that it is a bit difficult to blur so I decided to use it only for the eyeliner then in that sense it did not meet my expectations but I would recommend it

The smokey look you can create with the little sponge tip thingy is great. It looks sophisticated yet also a look you can pull of during the day. On the other hand the word tattoo is in the name as though it's almost permanent and long wearing, but for me it wasn't. It smudged and rubbed onto my eyelid. It's nice if you don't expect it to last.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this eye liner! It stayed on for almost all day, I applied it in the late morning and I didn’t need to reapply until late evening. I used it how the back of the package said because that’s just how I do my eyeliner sometimes lol simple, just under the top lid and then on the lower just very simple and not thick and I loved the look! I I am a big fan of the Tattoo studio products by Maybelline they really do last and are very easy to apply!

I am very particular about eyeliners basically because I consider my eyes my best feature. I have used eyeliners in all price categories. This is finally the perfect eyeliner. It goes on with the smoothness of a gel, but because it is a pencil, it looks more natural than the felt-marker types. And unlike the other TattooStudio pencil, there is not sharpening, which is always problematic. Fantastic product. Hope more shades ar introduced.

I have washed my face, cried, scrubbed make up remover on it, rubbed my eyes and this eyeliner still doesn't smudge. I mean, it eventually comes off but is it a struggle! I still won't be buying any other eyeliner. Enough color that it defines, but looks more like natural definition than the fact that I am wearing eyeliner. Goes on smoothly & doesn't fade or flake. Love it “ free for testing”

I previously used another brand of a similar gel eyeliner pencil and used it to tighline my eyes. I have never had issues and have used many different brands. I just bought this eyeliner and did the same thing and my eyes burned for days afterwards. I've never experienced this before. It was terribly painful and lasted for a long time. I'm not sure what ingredient caused it, but I don't have sensitive eyes, and it was terrible!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can't beat the precision and convenience of a mechanical eyeliner versus one you have to sharpen. This one also glides on very smoothly, no skipping, but has good staying power. I am so glad I received this as a sample because I wouldn't have tried it otherwise. I already use a mechanical eyeliner so I thought it couldn't be improved upon, but this one is better because it doesn't break easily and goes on smoother.

Hi, my friend got me this eyeliner for my birthday, and i was super happy because i love a nice 2000's smokey eye look! i found that in the past i couldn't wear it for more than a few minutes before it made my eyes hurt a little, so i'd scrub it off. but today i had forgotten to take it off, and now my eyes are red, puffy, teary and burning. If you have sensitive eyes and skin like me, i do not reccommend this product.

I attempted my go to ‘Amy wine house wing’ and it was a struggle! It didn’t glide as easily as I would’ve liked but I managed. It may have worked better smudged or as a Smokey eye but my eyes are small and almond shaped so it’s not my thing. But if you are a pencil liner pro it’s definitely worth checking out !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve tried the tattoo liner previously, but never really attempted to use the applicator to smudge. One swipe will get you pretty good pigmentation, but go over it twice and it’s opaque and bold. The eyeliner itself it incredibly smooth! It’s a roll up, which can sometimes cause issues with sharpness of the liner. It rounds out over time making it harder to get a precise application. After applying I attempted to smudge it out with the buffer side, and it worked perfectly. It created an awesome Smokey effect. Right after application I attempted to smudge the liner, and it swiped off easily. But after about 5 minutes of application, the liner was on pact and wasn’t moving hardly at all. If you rub a couple times, the liner will start to smear slightly but I don’t think this would occur much with daily wear. Overall, great pigmentation, easy application, and would be perfect for an easy Smokey eye!

Bought this product new from a local department store and it caused an allergic reaction as soon as I applied it. Made my eyes burn and water and left my face itchy and sore even after removing it. Never experienced anything like this in 20 years of wearing makeup and was very concerned and disappointed. Will definitely be apprehensive about using other Maybelline products in the future.

I tried it the first day I received it and I usually wear eyeliner without putting any makeup on and it works well it last all day. I put it under my eyes I just love how dark it is. it breaks easily tho lol that was my fault I pushed it out too far and it broke a bit. I just love it and would recommend. Included a lot of pictures for better viewing I guess.

I also liked that it had the sponge on the end to make it less harsh. More to define my eyes. Only thing is when I took off the cap on the sponge, sometimes the sponge would come out all together. Overall though good product. Just a little mishap with the design.

I bought two of these pencils: one in black, another in white... the black has good color, but the white is waxy and seems not to want to apply to my skin/eyes.. when the points break or wear down how do you extend it to have more product? It seems there is NO way to use it after the first few times. Very disappointed in Maybelline, a company I used to hugely rely on.

Loved the performance of this liner and how long it last, but when it came time to advance, it would not move. Too bad as I have only had it for a couple of weeks and now have to buy more. Hesitant to buy it again for fear of same issue. I am a long time user of the brand especially the velvet black pencil, but it's always out of stock so decided to try the gel.

Initially I loved the product and application. However, when I went to sharpen the pencil, it broke off and the pencil was IMPOSSIBLE to sharpen. I even bought a double pack and it happened to the second pencil as well. I have a very good sharpener so that is not the issue. Very disappointed and will never purchase again. Do not waste your money.

Just returned the TatooStudio Eyebrow Pencil as it is impossible to use; it does not come out once you use it even once! If it doesn't come out, how are you supposed to sharpen it? This is "deceptive advertising"! Have used Maybelline products all my life but quality is definitely not what it used to be or maybe they are trying to do the impossible?
