Lash Sensational® Sky High Mascara Primer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as drugstore makeup brands, go, I have always trusted Maybelline to give me luxury quality on a budget. I have very short eyelashes, and have to rely on mascara to lengthen and curl these lashes. Upon using this primer, my lashes were more full, lengthened, and curled. I didn’t even have to use another mascara. In fact, I have had a better looking lashes with this product and then with any other mascara I have ever used. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future. The pictures I posted show a before and after. The first picture was after the first application and the second picture shows how my lashes look 12 hours later.

The qualities that I look for when choosing my mascara is its ability to provide voluminous lashes and great color and this mascara provides both. The “flex brush” makes the application process quite easy and with the tinted primer, it only took two or so strokes for me to achieve the look that I need. The mascara is also able to withstand the on the job hassle that my occupation presents and my lashes remained flawless after I donned and doffed eye protective gear throughout the day! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only within the last 2 years added any sort of primers to my makeup regimine as I had no idea of the advantages. This sky high meets the Mark and is going to be my new mascara primer. Prior to this, I'd used all sorts of primers but never one for mascara. This one is tinted so you could get away with wearing just the primer if need be but I paired it with my usual clinique mascara and it held on great! It lasted 3 full days! It does make the lashes a bit spidery & but I personally love that look! I'd recommend it! In the photo, I used the primer on the left but not the right. You can see a clear difference and I ended up adding it to the right as well.

The mascara primer was really soft and dark... also it clumped up BAD. Just like every new mascara when you first open it does... it felt very light. I didn't really notice a difference between it doing anything with length. How ever, it didn't do a very good job of coating all my lashes either which could be solved by using a different brush to apply the primer.... the eyeliner was amazing and didn't smudge or come off even after I rubbed my eyes. The applicator was perfect for winged eyeliner. All in all a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybelline has always made excellent mascaras, but this one is the best so far in my opinion. I have very fine, straight lashes. Not only does this mascara hold my curl, but it also really adds length. And even though this isn't the waterproof version, it lasts all day with no smudging or clumping on my oily lids. It can be built up, but you have to work quickly with the formula. It dries down quickly and can get clumpy if you apply too much. I also have smaller eyes so I can really appreciate the precise wand. It's also flexible which is a good thing as long as you work quickly with it.

Lash primer has not been a part of my cosmetic collection, but after sampling this and one other primer product, I will begin purchasing it. I liked the brush, as it did a good job defining my lower lashes and adding a thin layer of product on my upper lashes. I only had to add a single coat of my usual mascara to achieve the usual thickening and lengthening results, and there was way less clumping. The only complaint I have is that I have never been a fan of "soft black" formulas and would prefer a true black or brown black.

I've used a lot of different brands, but katwky been using the Essence primer with their mascara. I was excited to try out a tinted primer since most primers are white. This went on really smooth ! I let it dry and then applied my essence mascara. My mascara didn't budge at all during the day (no flaking or anything). This was also perfect for under eyes. I would almost use this as an everyday mascara since it's light weight and has the perfect amount of color for my skin tone. Definitely will rebuy this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So originally I wasn't planning on giving this a great review, for me it clumped up and I feel like it really brought my lashes down. I tried every trick in the book but this simply wasn't for me. I was ready to throw it away but my sister so happened to need some and she loved it. This really worked for her and gave her volume and length. I think you need to be already genetically blessed for this to work lol (as my sis). My lashes are shorter and go straight out. So if you're like me skip but if you naturally have longer lashes I think this will work out great for you
