[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as drugstore makeup brands, go, I have always trusted Maybelline to give me luxury quality on a budget. I have very short eyelashes, and have to rely on mascara to lengthen and curl these lashes. Upon using this primer, my lashes were more full, lengthened, and curled. I didn’t even have to use another mascara. In fact, I have had a better looking lashes with this product and then with any other mascara I have ever used. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future. The pictures I posted show a before and after. The first picture was after the first application and the second picture shows how my lashes look 12 hours later.

Volume with Brightness

The qualities that I look for when choosing my mascara is its ability to provide voluminous lashes and great color and this mascara provides both. The “flex brush” makes the application process quite easy and with the tinted primer, it only took two or so strokes for me to achieve the look that I need. The mascara is also able to withstand the on the job hassle that my occupation presents and my lashes remained flawless after I donned and doffed eye protective gear throughout the day! Def one of my fave mascaras! I received this product for free from Influenster and Maybelline in exchange for my honest review.

Adding this to my personal regimine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only within the last 2 years added any sort of primers to my makeup regimine as I had no idea of the advantages. This sky high meets the Mark and is going to be my new mascara primer. Prior to this, I'd used all sorts of primers but never one for mascara. This one is tinted so you could get away with wearing just the primer if need be but I paired it with my usual clinique mascara and it held on great! It lasted 3 full days! It does make the lashes a bit spidery & but I personally love that look! I'd recommend it! In the photo, I used the primer on the left but not the right. You can see a clear difference and I ended up adding it to the right as well.

The mascara primer was really soft and dark... also it clumped up BAD. Just like every new mascara when you first open it does... it felt very light. I didn't really notice a difference between it doing anything with length. How ever, it didn't do a very good job of coating all my lashes either which could be solved by using a different brush to apply the primer.... the eyeliner was amazing and didn't smudge or come off even after I rubbed my eyes. The applicator was perfect for winged eyeliner. All in all a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybelline has always made excellent mascaras, but this one is the best so far in my opinion. I have very fine, straight lashes. Not only does this mascara hold my curl, but it also really adds length. And even though this isn't the waterproof version, it lasts all day with no smudging or clumping on my oily lids. It can be built up, but you have to work quickly with the formula. It dries down quickly and can get clumpy if you apply too much. I also have smaller eyes so I can really appreciate the precise wand. It's also flexible which is a good thing as long as you work quickly with it.

Lash primer has not been a part of my cosmetic collection, but after sampling this and one other primer product, I will begin purchasing it. I liked the brush, as it did a good job defining my lower lashes and adding a thin layer of product on my upper lashes. I only had to add a single coat of my usual mascara to achieve the usual thickening and lengthening results, and there was way less clumping. The only complaint I have is that I have never been a fan of "soft black" formulas and would prefer a true black or brown black.

I've used a lot of different brands, but katwky been using the Essence primer with their mascara. I was excited to try out a tinted primer since most primers are white. This went on really smooth ! I let it dry and then applied my essence mascara. My mascara didn't budge at all during the day (no flaking or anything). This was also perfect for under eyes. I would almost use this as an everyday mascara since it's light weight and has the perfect amount of color for my skin tone. Definitely will rebuy this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So originally I wasn't planning on giving this a great review, for me it clumped up and I feel like it really brought my lashes down. I tried every trick in the book but this simply wasn't for me. I was ready to throw it away but my sister so happened to need some and she loved it. This really worked for her and gave her volume and length. I think you need to be already genetically blessed for this to work lol (as my sis). My lashes are shorter and go straight out. So if you're like me skip but if you naturally have longer lashes I think this will work out great for you

The Lash Sensational Sky High Tinted Mascara Primer isn’t the first I’ve tried however it is the first primer I’ve used where I felt it made a difference in my lashes. The primer itself is infused with serum so over time I felt the texture of my lashes to be softer and healthier. That aside, the primer really helps in making your favorite mascara adhere to your lashes while giving extreme length and volume. I will definitely be purchasing again once this is all gone!

Not a mascara girl

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I just want to say that I don’t normally wear mascara unless it’s clear. I may not be the best person to review in this case. After applying this mascara primer my lashes did look thicker, but it looked like the product was clumping at the tip of the lashes. This might be normal for mascara primer but not sure. I did notice that my lashes looked slightly longer but also a bit flat. Maybe if I curled my lashes first it may have looked a bit better. Not quite sure I can reckoned this product based on my limited experience using tinted/black mascara.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this primer! First off, it’s tinted which means a bunch of things. Mainly, when applying the mascara I don’t have to focus on covering the white in my lashes. This looks like mascara already. Second, if I’m rushing and don’t have time to apply the mascara no one will know I only have primer on. It stays on, there’s no flaking, and my mascara looks better with it. On the other side it washes off easily and I don’t have to spent the majority of my skin care routine trying to take off my eye makeup. Will absolutely be buying this when I need more.

I recurved I'm the mail today and thought why not give it a try. As a person who doesn't wear makeup on an every day basis I personally like this as a stand alone mascara. It's very light and didn't seem to clump up, as it gave my lashes a pop of color and really gave them a bit of volume and length. I like that I don't feel like I have mascara on at all really, but get the look. I might do a daily with this one.

My initial thought was how good my lashes looked before I even put mascara on. The primer alone looked beautiful. My mascara complimented the primer flawlessly. My favorite part was that it was so easy to rinse off. Normally it takes forever to rinse off my mascara by itself. It didn’t flake at all in the 8 hours I wore it! Normally my mascara flakes/runs after a couple hours. The primer kept everything in place. Love this stuff.

I normally use a primer for my lashes but this one is the best. It glides on smoothly and stays put all day long. I love that it is tinted and blends in with my mascara. No more white left behind when I would use other primers. I have worn this primer by itself and it looks very natural. I love that it has a conditioner that helps my lashes look healthy. It’s very affordable and your not breaking the bank to have beautiful lashes.

It was a little strange that it was a tinted primer, it felt more like I was putting on a brown mascara, however once I put on another coat of regular on top it really helped vamp it up! I did not use the regular sky high mascara with it, I used a benefit mascara but it worked great! I will definitely use it. I would not say it’s a 100% essential item in my makeup routine so I am not sure if I would repurchase. However, I really enjoyed trying it and am excited to see if tinted primers become more popular.

Nice primer option

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most lash primers I’ve seen, and all the ones I’ve used, have been clear or white, but this one is black. I appreciate this, as I’ve worn it several times on its own with no mascara over it. The brush separates and lengthens my lashes nicely and I like that it looks natural. I did add my favorite mascara (a different brand) over it one time and was not all that impressed (I didn’t feel like it looked different enough with the added layer to justify it). All in all, I like this option and I would definitely consider buying it in the future!

Effortless Everyday Look :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to complimentarily receive Maybelline’s New York Lash Sensational Sky High Tinted Primer! Mascara is an essential component of my (very minimal effort) everyday look, and this primer might as well be a mascara in and of itself. It lengthens and adds volume, and the subtle tint makes it so that no actual mascara is required — super convenient for a natural, simple, everyday look. For a more intentional look, I paired it with my usual mascara (Urban Decay’s Perversion), and my lashes looked exceptionally long — definitely on the more daring side, if that’s what the situation requires! The formula was smooth, doesn’t feel too heavy on your lashes, minimally smudged throughout the day, and washed off relatively effortlessly with gentle soap and water.

The lash primer I gave a 9/10 because the primer was very soft on the lashes but it didn't really give me like a voluminous look. The eyeliner however was my most favorite because of how easily the process of gliding it on was and how bold the color really stood out. I would still buy both products in the future though. Makeup is my go to. ❤️

Just another primer

Unfortunately, this primer didn’t seem to do much at all for my lashes. I’m sad to report this. I was hoping for something more, but being totally honest, I didn’t see a difference with or without the primer on before my mascara. Furthermore, I wore it with Maybelline mascara and like I said, no change to me. When I tried it with a non-Maybelline mascara it made the mascara application clumpy and my lashes stuck together.

On the pictures you can see my natural lashes, my lashes with this primer and my lashes with primer+mascara. The primer definitely made the mascara last longer throughout the day which is amazing and it also added some length to my lashes. It’s also nice that this primer is serum based which is more healthy for the lashes. I would definitely recommend this product and I will also buy it once mine is empty.

It definitely brought up a boost to my lashes, it was very easy to apply it didn't leave any clump. Overall I rated it 4 stars because my lashes didn't go sky high as they show on the picture. Like I said though, I think it depends on the length of your lashes. I'm very happy with the way it was to apply and remove. I would definitely purchase this in the future.

Haha, it made for a funny story, but after noticing my mistake paring this with a mascara, it added the extra “oomf” that I was needing. I feel as though it made my lashes longer and seem more full. I definitely liked the formula as well, it last throughout the day, and it stayed when I cried! Overall this is a great addition to my collection, as I haven’t used a primer in probably well over a decade !

Great mascara on its own for when I just need my eyes to look awake and for a natural everyday makeup look. It applies nicely and cleans off easily at the need of the day. Used along with another mascara, I can see that it helps gives it a nice foundation for my other mascara to go on. It is easy to use and there was minimal flaking/residue throughout the day. All in all, great product at this price point.

I wouldn’t say it gave them volume because my lashes already have great volume, but they definitely looked longer. Serum-infused base is great.  It is important to have some kind of treatment in make up products, it makes me feel better about wearing it. In the picture I posted, I was wearing only this tinted primer, no mascara on top, so you can see how good it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is an extra step for me, so I cannot say I would buy it. It wasn’t a bad product, but just not needed for me. It did make my lashes appear darker but I use black mascara anyways, which went over it. It made my lashes kinda clumpy. It did not seem to add any length or volume. If you were someone with very nice natural lashes, you could easily use this INSTEAD of mascara to give the color more glam. But otherwise, it would just be adding an unnecessary item to your daily kit.

With mascara, my lashes had more volume and length and overall looked much better than mascara alone! I did have to spend more time carefully applying as it went on thick and had some clumps, but with a little extra time, I was able to get the clumps out. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this considering the primer I use costs too much but unfortunately the Sky High line just doesn’t work very well on my lashes. I noticed that just like the mascara, it did a good job at giving length but it made my lashes look “spidery” and easily clump together. The primer has very good pigment and the wand is great at really getting in there to brush the lashes good but I just wish the formula didn’t make the lashes stick together or hard to the touch.

It does clump a bit so make sure to smooth out with a clean wand before applying mascara over it. I wore this throughout a rainy day in NYC and my mascara lasted really well with no smearing, but staying strong and voluminous. Pictures show plain eyelashes, halfway through with primer and mascara (6 hrs), then at the end of the night to show the staying power and how it did not move the curl.

This primer can easily work as a natural mascara on it's own. The brush is exactly like the wand for the Skyhigh mascara. The primer formulation is light and separates all my lashes. It preps my lashes perfectly for the mascara application.When the primer and mascara are combined they are a match made in heaven! This is a game changer!

The product has a nice pigmented but subtle color to it which is nice. If you don’t like to curl your lashes or you have really short natural lashes it would probably be useful but if you have long lashes or curl yours before mascara it’s really not necessary. It could be nice for a natural look when you’re in a rush or don’t want to wear a lot of makeup.

If you so wear a mascara over it, make sure the product dries completely before applying it. I wore it both with and without mascara and liked both results. The brush is a good length and the bristles are gentle and does a great job with coating and lengthening your lashes. It’s worth it! I’ll be buying this in the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time I've used a primer on my lashes and I was beyond impressed. Honestly this could also be used without adding mascara to it. No clumps, smooth texture. Was not heavy feeling. Gave my lashes nice length and some lift to them. Only thing about this product and this is my personal preference of wand for applying. But, considering this was my only downfall I will be using this from now. Makes my lashes look and feel amazing.
