Super Stay® Vinyl Ink Longwear Liquid Lipcolor

I bought this today after seeing the advert. I love maybelline and have used their products for many years.
This one however, vinyl peachy shade, is the most disappointing product I’ve used. At first it looks so lovely. It’s beautiful to put on. The colour is really nice. But it lasted 10 seconds. It wipes off so easily. Not a superstay stay at all. And reading other reviews where maybelline replied and suggests to buy a different product convinces me that they know it’s not good at all. I’m very disappointed having spent money on this. Won’t buy again and will not recommend.

I bought 2 shades and tried on multiple occasions till it made me so embarrassed at a professional event leaving stains on white cups. Funny thing is even on my coffee cup stains never came off however on lips it did not last long at all. Maximum I would say only an hour if you are not drinking or eating. Total waste of money and not any expectations at all

Doesn’t even last 3 hours let alone 16 as per the websites claim!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely pink colour, goes on easily with the wand, gives a good glossy vinyl look. Lips felt comfortable, little bit sticky and that it was took a bit of time to dry in as it is quite wet when first applying. Staying power is good, you do get a little bit of transfer if eating and drinking. If on night out then would top it up to ensure if kept looking fabulous. Daytime lasts well. Would never wear make up for 16 hours so not sure if would last that long. Love the container, very modern and matches the colour of the lipstick.

This lip colour is exceptional - it exceeds my wildest dreams of staying power. I just bought my second 'Coy' which is a lovely pink tone that complements my natural colouring. I outline my cupids bow then smudge the colour over the rest of my upper lip with a finger, similarly outline the bottom of my lower lip and smudge the colour up from there. This gives plenty of coverage and it lasts and lasts - I 'm talking absolutely insane lasting power! This colour is still flawless - yes, actually flawless - after a big messy meal or dozens of kisses, in fact if I don't take it off at night, it's still going strong in the morning, without a single mark on my pillow. This is the best lip colour I've ever used and I'll keep buying it for as long as they keep making it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this in the shade "Cheeky" which is a lovely pinky nude colour. I always wear similar shades (all my lipsticks are Maybelline) but normally in more sheer formulations, so this gave me a much more dramatic look than usual! It went on nicely (good applicator) and didn't smudge at all. I did give a 4 rather than 5 star rating, because it felt a bit sticky on my lips, which I don't experience with my usual lipsticks. However, I think, for me, it's worth putting up with that because it does look good and performs well.

I just bought 3 colours at the store and was very excited after watching swatching videos on youtube. However, all 3 colours are a dark, unappealing mauvey brown, they don't match the packaging colour and they look nothing like the bright vibrant colours online. An expensive waste of money, especially as there were no testers available. I bought peachy (mauve), peppy (browny mauve) and awestruck (dark muddy brown). Do not be fooled! Although I can't fault the non-transfer, I just wish they were actually nice colours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked the Superstay Vinyl Ink lipstick design, it stands out being red and easy to find in your handbag! I tried No 45 Capricious, although not a colour I would normally wear it is a stunning pinky red! The applicator makes it easy to apply and you don’t need a lot! It also has a pleasant taste. It goes on like a gloss but then dries to a matt and once dry you can touch your lips and it doesn’t come off! I have to say I was extremely impressed with the hours it stayed on!! Basically all day even after eating & drinking it still stayed on! I had to use a makeup remover cleansing pad to get it off before bed! Other than the colour which is why I’ve given it 4 stars as it didn’t suit me I would definitely recommend this lipstick if you want one that will last all day!

This is actually one of my favourite colours and products, but only when I first buy it. I love it and hate it at the same time. Maybelline, you need to sort this out. Peppy is my colour of choice it's my absolute goto. When I first buy it the colour is lush and and applies unctiously, it lasts and feels so good. Within I'd say 3 weeks of using it most days, after only needing one maybe two swipes of colour, I'm struggling to get any pigment out it's just a slightly coloured oily slop on my lips - where has the colour gone? I shake the tube when I first get it to distribute the pigment evenly in the hopes it will last longer but nope. Within 3 weeks I've been disappointed again. It started off so promising but the quality of this product has just slipped the more I've used it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a lovely liquid lipstick. I got the colour Royal, a blue tinted burgandy red. You shake the tube, and theres a doe foot applicator. You can easily line the lips and fill in without redipping. It has a gentle vanilla fragrance, which does disappear later. It's not quite glossy, but has a nice sheen or satin look also really pigmented. It feels a little tacky, so best not to touch lips together but to let it dry on. It never dries completely, its less tacky as it wears. If i havent eaten, it has stayed perfect for 12 hours! Though when ive eaten, the centre fades and your lips just look lined! It's not drying to lips during or even after it's taken off and i've not noticed crumbling which i felt with the original liquid matte version.
I'd like to have the other colours too now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the packaging but was disappointed with the product, the wand was easy to use but the product was messy to put on, it was sticky on the lips and didn't really stay put any longer than other products in fact as soon as I had something to eat and drink (coffee and croissant) it was gone. I did think that it left my lips soft though and not rough and dry like some lip products which is a plus in my book, but I was also disappointed with the colour, it was far more pink than I was expecting

I bought 2 of the vinyl superstay lipsticks the other day because of the good reviews it gets. I am so disappointed with these.
1 instructions say to let dry - they never dry. Always feel sticky
2. Product supposed to be budgeproof. Absolutely no way is this the case lipstick transferred to cup as much as any other lipstick.
3. Supposed to last all day. Not at all did this last more than a few hours on me

Such a waste of money. Cannot understand the other comments.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review - no budge vinyl colour which resists transfer up to 16 hours, this is true as tested it on my hands and no transfer.
The pigment is intense, feels so luxurious on my lips with the added benefits of Vitamin E and aloe, my lips haven't dryed at all. So comfortable on the lips I can't wait to try the other shades.
After more than 12 hours there was still colour and after cleansing with a balm it was removed extremely easily, without leaving my lips dry. Absolutely love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like this lipstick but whenever I get intrigued by bold claims I end up a little disappointed. The good points are; I like the applicator. The product is easy to apply & the colour is lovely, even & bold. It feels comfortable to wear. My only issue is with the ‘super stay’ ‘longwear’ bit. I did find it didn’t last as long as I’d hoped for & did transfer quite a bit. Overall, I would continue to wear & purchase this lipstick but would just expect to reapply as normal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly, the packaging is nice. It's eye-catching and quite expensive looking.
The smell of the product is lovely, it's not overpowering and doesn't last too long.
The colour is very pigmented, though a bit too brown-ish for me (i got 'cheeky') and goes on like a dream. It's very smooth to apply with the easy to use wand. It's nice and shiny too, but this wears off quickly. I found it to be a bit too sticky for my liking and this feeling didn't go away.
Despite transfer to my cup, the colour lasted a good few hours. It's not a lipstick I'd want to top up much due to the stickiness. And, once it starts to wear off, it leaves lips dry. Had to remove the remainder with makeup remover so some colour is still there at the end of the day.
I'd only wear this again if the formula was changed to something less sticky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is amazing the colour doesn’t fade or smudge and doesn’t even transfer to my mask which I have to wear for my work lasts all day through to night as we went out after work and colleagues were amazed my lip ink hadn’t to be reapplied and amazingly its vegan formula with amazing Aloe Vera and vitamin E the colour(Royal) is so vibrant and makes my lips look fuller would recommend it to everyone such a new masterpiece will try more colours in the future

The doe foot applicator is the perfect size to outline and then fill your lips leaving them looking full. It's not overly sticky and somewhere between a typical liquid lipstick and gloss as stays shiny. The colour is beautiful (I tested Wicked) and opaque in one coat. It didn't budge eating and drinking then took quite a bit of rubbing to remove! I'm definitely going to be purchasing the rest of the range!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I opened my package up to find this beauty inside, first thoughts where how stylish and modern it’s packaging is. Once I began applying I had a real wow moment with how vibrant the colour was (it’s been a while since I wore bright lipstick) but also how nice and smooth it was to apply. Since it states it’s glossy I naturally expected it to be quite sticky and remain tacky, as iv never known a glossy lip to be anything but really. Wow was I surprised with this one it feels so nice and moisturizing to wear, and it’s staying power is unreal literally. No top up required all day, my lips felt that nice I forgot I was wearing it. The only problem came when removing it, it does take quite a bit of rubbing. If you are wearing all day without top up, I wouldn’t let a bit of rubbing put you off. You are definitely getting your moneys worth this one!

I chose Royal although I don't have the whitest teeth, the colour suited me, made my lips stand out and made me feel like a film star. The texture of the "ink " does feel a bit tacky and reminded me of products that I used to use to keep lipstick on. There was minimal transfer when I ate although it did bleed a tiny amount. Probably better with younger lips than mine otherwise I would give it a 5.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a great one for liquid lipsticks as I worry about the colour being too strong and tricky to apply neatly. However, this one was a bit different. The colour was a bright red which suits me well,but it was not overpowering and went on smoothly without feeling either sticky or drying. I thought it looked really pretty and summery and I loved the shine. I also tried a dab in my cheeks and it gave them a lovely glow.

I tested the colour ‘wicked’ which was very bold, a paler shade would probably look nicer. It had a bit too much staying power as it stained my lips after trying to cleanse it off several times I still woke up next day with staining. It felt a bit too sticky on the lips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Totally impressed with this ink! I had it in the shade of Unrivaled. The moment I applied it on my lips, it was already a burst of colour. One dip is more than enough to cover my entire lips with its boldness! In addition to this, it really stays for a loooong time! I drank water and ate, but I still have enough shade in my lips. In addition, it is never drying and does not even feel heavy. Really loving it!

It glides on really easy and doesn’t stick to your teeth which is great I hate when that happens! It does feel a little sticky but after a while you don’t notice I didn’t need to reapply as it leaves a stain on the lip that appeals less glossy during the day but still looks fab - pictures are first applied then after lunch x

Apply- the application is very smooth and literally lasts for hours even through eating and drinking! Giving it four stars as the colour came out slightly duller then the advertised picture on model but still a great lipstick.

Firstly it wouldnt be my choice of shade as it is very bold. Secondly j presonally wasnt very keen on the application, i found the formula a little runny and it seemed to bleed quite a bit. This was particularly hard work as i also found it stained. Overall not the product for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Loved the look of this from the start, a chunky square tube in a gorgeous raspberry shade, I was really keen to try it. I'm not really one for lipsticks as such but thought I'd try this out. I applied it straight off and I have to say it looked ridiculous on me and really did not look like the colour I should be wearing and trying to remove it was so tough because it really does live up to its name of super stay. I tried again the next day but just lightly applied to my lower lip, then blended it into my top lip too and it looked really good, I didn't reapply at all throughout the day but just popped some clear lip balm over and it was still looking good when I removed my make-up that night, so for me it was more of a lip stain how I applied it, it also looked amazing with the Maybelline lifter gloss over the top, all in all I have to say I loved it and will be trying out some of the other colours now.

I bought this because the reviews I read were glowing. I'm very disappointed..
At nearly $14.00 I would expect much better
The lipstick doesn't ever dry completely. it feels tacky and a bit sticky the whole time it's on..
It wears off from inside the lip and you end up with a lip liner look . Not worth the money or the few minutes of time it takes to dry in the beginning...

This product does not fit that description. For those who enjoy a bold statement lip, I think this would be perfect. The shade is nice and the formula is also fairly nice. However, the shade is definitely more bright red than I thought it would be
