FIT ME® MATTE + PORELESS FOUNDATION

I am 32 years old and I have tried quite a few foundations in my time from very high end to drug store brands. Maybelline Fit Me has been my go to for quite a few years now and when I ran out again recently I thought I’d “treat” myself to a new higher end foundation of a very well known brand. Well I’ve been using said product for a few weeks now, and of course most ppl would assume a product with a higher price tag to have better results, not the case! I will be going back to Fit Me (I always do!). For reference, I have combination skin with hyper pigmentation and acne scars. The coverage is buildable and it does a great job at covering my redness.

I bought this foundation a few months ago and only worn it about 5 times, throughout the day it gets Cakey and clings to dry spots and makes me look patchy and transfers even when I set it with powder. I have oily/combo skin and I used a good primer and setting spray but this foundation just didn't do it for me, I may have to switch to a high end foundation. I was so disappointed in this foundation. Another thing is that the foundation says it minimizes pores but it made mine noticeable after it dried and had it on a few hours later I looked so cakey and oily that I had to keep getting napkins and blotting/removing the foundation throughout the day.

I wasn't expecting much from this foundation... I just picked it up from the drug store because I ran out of another one. It blended wonderfully, the shade was a perfect match, the consistency was great. It didn't get patchy or rub off, which I was pleasantly surprised by, as I had worn it for 7 hours already and hadn't set it. First day of using this, and I'm already on here to give it 5 stars! It gives medium coverage, and kept my oily face matte all day!!! YOU GUYS!!! I DIDN'T HAVE TO OIL BLOT! It feels velvety and smooth, and it doesn't dry my skin out either. This foundation is such a great find. I can't believe it's so (relatively) affordable!

Wow I bought this foundation as there was a huge maybelline sale on so I thought I’d give it a go as so many of my friends had told me about it. I previously bought the fit me foundation and didn’t enjoy it but thought I’d give it another go as this was the new fit me matte. I LOVE IT! The colour matches my skin so well and has an amazing yellow undertone (sun beige). It’s not cakey and you don’t need to use much at all! I agree with another review in terms of packaging, I’d love to see it have a pump bottle to minimise wastage. I’d recommend this product especially for those who are wanting an affordable and easy to apply foundation.

Love using this Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation. My skin has been loving this. This matte foundation really helps with my oily skin. Matte skin all day and reduce the pore appearance.  The color match my skin tone. It is quite a watery consistency so u can adjust the layer of thickness/ coverage depends on how you like it. The bottle size it's a bit smaller side. What I do not like the most it's I prefer to have it as a pump bottle instead of pouring it out to use as it is harder to control the amount I need to use. Overall I think this will suits the coming summer weather to control the shine on oily skin.\n\n

I have purchased Maybelline foundations for about 10 years now. With purchasing these products for such a long time, I have used just about every product that Maybelline has come out with but none of the foundations hit 5 starts for me... UNTIL THIS ONE! I was unsure if I wanted to write this review because at first it seemed like this foundation was too good to be true!! I find that the coverage is medium- full and would be easy to build up a little bit at a time for extra coverage if needed! The matte finish is absolutely flawless and beautiful as well! This is my go to/ride or die foundation! I will use this for as long as I can!

This is by far my favorite foundation regardless of “drugstore” or “high-end” - I have extremely oily skin that is sensitive to top it off. I can use this without bothering my skin out & it covers my red spots. It blurs my pores (even makes the enlarged ones hard to notice), it doesn’t crease at all & with a little translucent powder on top it stays on & stays matte ALL day. Seriously, all day. Today for example I worked both of my jobs. I put my foundation on at 6ish this morning, it’s now midnight I’m just getting home & I am barely shining. Love love love this stuff. Actually went to buy some tonight & the store was out, bummer!

I love this foundation! I am shade 105 Fair Ivory during the winter months with combination skin. I often get oily in the T zone but with this foundation you can't even tell. This foundation applies nicely with a beauty sponge and remains looking matte all day! I would recommend this to anyone with combination to oily skin since it stays all day even after sweating. It looks very natural on my skin and is very weightless. It is also nice that there are very light shades since I am very pale in the winter and this one blends perfectly into my skin tone. The only con about this is that it doesn't have a pump. I will definitely continue using this foundation!

What can I say about it? My emotions love this fundation, it blends and works well with my skin. It also looks good with bronzer and setting powder or spray. It's actually my Holy Grail Foundation I hate the packaging and the color Shades though. My skin undertone is neutral with a yellow undertone neck , so it's difficult to find an exact match because I think the light shades in this Foundation are pink undertones which isn't going to work in my situation.

Scenario Maybelline creates new color shades for anybody else that has my skin tones would be great and also recreate the packaging to be a pump instead, then I'll give this Foundation a five-star. ⭐

I recently bought this foundation hoping I could find another that fitted me since I have oily skin and can break out . first time I used it I noticed that it would get in my creases which isn't a problem since most do but not noticable if you were standing close. The next couple of times was horrible! I couldn't even finish my full look because it just got cakey everywhere like to the point where I just got a makeup wipe and took it off, it also made me break out across my cheeks. I tried my full face with my cover girl foundation and didnt seem to have the same problem and the fit me is supposed to help with oily skin but it just seems to give you more oil

This foundation was a dream to apply, very smooth and easy to blend. My skin felt and looked fresh and well polished. This foundation is light to medium coverage which suited my needs, it was not heavy or cakey on me. \nIt was easy to build the coverage and blend too.\nI enjoyed using this foundation, it gave me good skin days if that makes sense and the shade was spot on, I'm really impressed with Maybelline, they've done a good job creating this foundation.\n\n I think it will suit all skin types in my opinion, however, the combination oily skin gals are going to love it. I would recommend it to anyone want to try drugstore foundation in high-end quality. \n\n

I have used this product for over a year now and although I have used other foundations, I continually find myself reaching for this one. Firstly, the coverage is great and also buildable without looking cakey on the skin. The colours do not seem to oxidise throughout the day, and they wear very well without going too patchy. The product is mattifying so powder is not needed, but using powder builds the coverage even more and makes the finish look flawless. \nThe only criticism I would have for this product is the packaging, which lacks a pump and becomes very messy when trying to get the foundation out of the bottle. \n

I've heard so many positive things about this foundation so I was so excited to try it. I have pretty oily, acne prone skin. The packaging isn't ideal and I wish it had a pump since it's hard to control how much product you'e pouring out. But, at first I was fine with it. Unfortunately after 3-4 hours my t-zone became pretty shiny and began to transfer a lot. It never claimed to be transfer proof, but I was expecting to stay matte for most of the day at least. I tried a few different primers and I powdered quite a bit but it still got shiny pretty quickly. I don't find myself reaching for it anymore, which is quite sad.

There are not enough words to say about this product. I have used the Maybelline Superstay Full Coverage Foundation for a while, and it felt like it would just sit on top of my face, did not control my oils at all, too heavy on my face, and smudges really easily. The Fit Me foundation has left me speechless. It is very lightweight, so it does not feel like you are wearing a mask. It blends so easily with my beauty blender. It controls my oils very well, especially on my nose. It also covered up my pores very well, and it stayed on all day!!!!!!!!! I think the buy is totally worth it. I would definitely recommend this.

To be honest I’m not a massive fan of this foundation it’s not the worst but it’s not in my top favourites. \nThis foundation is designed for oily skin types I have normal/combination skin so I can normally wear any foundation and make it work!, I prefer a dewy look so if you have oily skin you may like this foundation anyone with dry skin most likely won’t. \nThis foundation is medium coverage I defantly wouldn’t say it’s full coverage it applied nicely at first but after a little while it become patchy expecially around my mouth and under my contour ect it didn’t really have a smell, it stayed on quite well throughout the day!. \n\nI wish this product had a pump!. \n\n

I tested the Maybelline Fit Me  foundation using the Classic Ivory 120 shade, I have normal skin.\nThe colour tone matched my skin tone perfectly. It was very smooth to apply, non greasy and provided light all day coverage. It did not cake, did not crease, was not runny or drying but of the perfect consistency which suited me.\nI like the glass bottle packaging as that gives it a more high end look to the cheaper plastic dispensers some other foundations are packaged in.\nThe price point is spot on for everyday use. The  natural light coverage that Fit Me provides makes it suitable for everyday long wear use .\n I would definitely purchase and use this foundation again.\n\n

I have loved Fit Me since I was introduced to it in Oct 2016. All the women in my family use it and it's a wonderful product.

However, when I purchased the product this month I was a little concerned about the pigment of the 110. It had more yellow undertones than the previous month. This works out because my skin happens to be kind of olive but definitely concerned me. I attached the swatches and the bottles to prove they are the same. The left is the new bottle and right is the old. When the foundation is exposed to oxygen does it lose pigment?

This won't keep me from buying the product in the future and still love what I've got! It just was noticeably different.

I've been using this foundation for a month or so now, and oh, my, I LOVE it so much! It is absolutely the #1 A+ BEST foundation I have ever used. I'm 60, and have tried MANY foundations over the years. FIT Me NEVER creases or looks dry or feels cakey...it's smooth and light and delicate and perfect in every way. There are many colors to choose from so if my face tans a little during summer, I'll be able to find a match for my darker skin tone. I hope you NEVER discontinue this product...I've been buying a new bottle every couple of weeks to store away just in case! Because of this particular product, now I'm going to try every other FIT Me product you have. EXCELLENT! BRILLIANT!

I tested 122 creamy beige, which was a great colour match to my skin tone surprisingly enough from the online matching feature. I feel this is quite a good value product for the price however not so suited to my dryer combination skin type. Unfortunately I think the foundation accentuated my flaky dry areas and built up a bit in my under eye creases and around my nose. Also I had to use a few applications to get the coverage that I like as it is a light-weight foundation in comparison to my usual foundation. Overall I would consider trialing this brand again as a secondary weekend-lighter foundation due to the colour matching but not necessarily this exact product in the future.    

Y’all!! This was me just yesterday (Jan 1, 2021) and I have been using this foundation since 2017 and I have NEVER gotten so many compliments in my life!! Everyone I know asked me what foundation I use and I always recommend fit me Matte! It has been my all time favorite!! The picture I posted here does NOT have any filters! I am just sitting in front of my window! (It was snowing too!) I will never buy another foundation again!! This is my #1!! I would say the ONLY request would be to have this foundation be a pump instead of an open bottle. I know a few people who use this brand and wish that too! :)

Even though this foundation claims to be matte, it is anything but. Initially it gives a lighter coverage but can easily be layered to give a medium coverage which has worked perfectly in the hot and humid heat when I was overseas last month! When I have bumps on my skin, the foundation smooths over them and gives a really lovely photoshopped effect but without the cake-iness! After applying, it still looks dewy but with a little powder can be mattified. The only downside is that it oxidises slightly on me but there are so many shade choices that I got a lighter shade so now the match is perfect. \n

!'m a professional makeup artist and i kept hearing other MUAs raving about this product so i had to try it. Now at the time the darkest shade they carried was 360 which was still to light for myself but i purchased some other shades for my kit. After using it on clients i completely feel in love with this foundation. Application was smooth and finish was matte as promised. It photographed beautifully and the wear time was amazing. I really wanted to be able to wear it on myself so when they launched the new shades i was beyond excited and i found my perfect match in 375. I will never change again !

I saw this product on several YouTube channels and decided to give it a try as everyone has been raving about it. I had been using Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Powder Foundation and needed a change. I absolutely love this foundation! I mix two shades to get my perfect match and apply with a sponge. I set w/a translucent powder, and this lasts all day! I have very acne prone skin and break out very easily...hence the reason I was using Tarte. I've been using this for about two weeks and have gotten more compliments on my skin than I did wearing Tarte for over a year! Definitely my new favorite!

I love the "Fit Me" range and this foundation is a great example of a good value foundation. I was really impressed with the wife range of shades. The bottle is sturdy and looks great. I found the foundation was easy to apply, didn't irritate my sensitive skin, and gave good coverage. The effect was smooth and lovely. My only issue is that I did have to reapply (although with a good primer I imagine it would stay longer) and that it did stick slightly to my dry skin. For a basic foundation with a lovely soft matte finish, it's a great option, and you're sure to find the perfect match for your skin.

I have an oily t-zone, especially around my nose and under my under eye skin. I don’t get super oily, but I get oily super often. This stuff is a liquid cream that turns into a super lightweight powder-like finish. No oily top layer. And my face stays dry at the end of the day. I can’t remember the last time I found a “matte” product that did what it was supposed to.
The only issue is that there’s no pump, but then again most companies have this issue. Is it really that hard to offer a pump to attach to your products? Who on earth prefers dumping globs of foundation onto the back of their hand.

So I really do enjoy this foundation and it has become my new go to everyday foundation. I had been wanting to try this for years but never got around to it and now I am glad that I finally did.
HOWEVER, The one thing that I do not like about this is that I have to mix 2 shades together in order to get my perfect match. I mix the shades 102 and 105 together so if you all could create a shade right there between those two shades, I would totally stock up on it like crazy!!
I really love this formula and I don't want to have to go looking for another foundation only for the shade match dilemma.

I bought this around 3-4 months ago because my bestfriend raved about it and I'm just starting off in makeup so this was inexpensive and apparently so great color wise. The first time I applied it, it was beautiful, so matte so perfect. I went out and got oily as expected but great. The second time and third time and fourth time, it felt heavy, felt cakey, it oxidized HARD, which I saw coming but it was to a point that I felt like an Oompa Loompa after the first time. Idk maybe I got a bad one because my bestfriend still loves her, but for me being real oil skin and having lots of pores I was a sucker for this one and I loved it, THE FIRST time. But then idk fell flat. Maybe it was one bottle

I have been a loyal user of this foundation for YEARS, and I'm so happy that Maybelline have released a bunch of new shades because it isn't easy finding your perfect match when it comes to drugstore foundations. The formula gives me a medium-full coverage finish without it feeling heavy or looking cakey on the skin, and it does a brilliant job at giving me a poreless/flawless complexion. I have oily skin so I always reach for a matte foundation and the lasting power is pretty great on this one! I gave it 4 stars simply because it doesn't have a pump dispenser so it can become quite messy and wasteful. A part from that, I think it's an absolute winner of a foundation and a definite must-buy!  

The foundation Fits Me nicely, love the square glass bottle that it is in, with a lovely black lid.  Clearly see the tone of the foundation inside.  The shade type is on the top of the lid.  I love 220 Natural Beige. A very nice texture and consistency, spreads on the skin nicely and blends in beautifully.  It helps to minimize the pores, besides giving a flawless finish.  My skin doesn't feel loaded or blocked.  Is a beautiful foundation.  Bottle is ideal to keep in the vanity, beauty case or even in your handbag.  A flawless foundation.  Suitable for skin types from normal through to oily.

This is my go to foundation for sure. It’s so affordable and has a great shade range. The finish is amazing and helps control the oils in my t zone especially my nose and chin area which normally build up during the day due to the heat in QLD. It’s so easy to build up coverage, I would definitely say it’s a medium to full coverage foundation. It blends so well, I normally use a beauty blender to apply it but it works well with a brush too. The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t a pump to dispense the product just for hygienic reasons. Apart from that I would recommend it to anyone.
