I’ve been using this mascara religiously for at least 15 years! It’s the only one that holds the curl and doesn’t make my eyelashes straight and spiky and it doesn’t budge.
Like others, I wasted money trying different mascaras (within Maybelline range and expensive brands) when I couldn’t find this in store, thinking it was a temporary shortage. They all sucked. This is the holy grail mascara. Devastated to find out it’s being discontinued. I searched far and wide and managed to snap up 9 packs that I hope will last me until the Maybelline gods realise the error of their ways and start selling these again. Makes absolutely no sense to discontinue. It’s clearly very popular.

I have used this mascara for over 20 years, I have tried many others and they just don't work the same way. I am unable to now find this anywhere, every single shop I would normally be able to find in it is now only selling the washable version. If this mascara has been discontinued, this is incredibly disappointing, and the other waterproof versions from Maybelline are not even close to how good this one is. I have wasted money trying to find a suitable alternative while still looking for this one. If I could buy another 20 years worth of this mascara I would!

I am so devastated that this mascara has been discontinued. It so amazing as I have allergies and this was the only one that didn't bother me. Well now I have to hunt for a new brand because mabelline you have absolutely disappointed me as I have been using your products for years. Not anymore all ypur other mascaras don't meet what this mascara did. So good bye unless you bring it back and start thinking of your customers first.

I've been using this mascara for as long as I can remember, and I'm having a hard time letting go! It has the best brush, holds a curl in my lashes while lengthening them and looking and feeling natural. It used to be available in brown and lasted forever. Now for some reason they stopped making this item in brown. I've still been buying it in black when I can find it, but it seems to dry up much faster, flakes all over, and the brush disintegrates. Maybe I'm just getting old batches because it's so hard to find these days. Maybelline, I beg you to bring it back in brown! I see I'm not your only customer who is asking for this. Pretty please?!

This is a fabulous mascara I’ve been using for over 20years. It’s the only one my sensitive eyes can handle, I’ve tried most of your other ones and they have not been any where nearly as great. Please bring it back!

Used to be perfect

I've used the black mascara for maybe 20 years or so and thought it was perfect. However, in recent years, they must have changed the formula since it always smudges under my eyes during the day. It's also more difficult to remove when I take it off at night. I persisted with it for ages because I didn't know what mascara to buy to replace it. I eventually tried a cheap ALDI brand that works great. Very disappointing after being so loyal to the product.

Has the formula changed?

I used to use this in brown and it was GORGEOUS. People always complimented my eyelashes. I looked like a doll. It's been over 10 years I've been using this mascara and it seems like the formula has changed. The mascara I have now in black crumbs off and the tips of my lashes are always left bare. I'm so disappointed in the huge change. Maybe I've been getting bad batches but it seems worldwide. So sad to lose my favourite waterproof mascara!

This has been the best mascara I have ever used. It's the only mascara that holds my short lashes in place after curling them. I have been buying this mascara for years and suddenly can no longer find it anywhere in stock. I am down to my last stick and wish I had purchased more in bulk beforehand. Has this been discontinued??

Please don't discontinue this mascara!! No other mascara I've tried compares to this. This formula is so smooth and clean, gives beautiful looking natural lashes, every other mascara I try gives me horrible chunky spider looking lashes. This formula also holds a curl really well. I also love the brush on this one which makes it super easy to apply. Please bring it back!!

best waterproof mascara

I'm going to be honest, I don't like to wear makeup all the time. But when I do, I want it to be affordable, dependable, looking great, and easy to use. This does it for me. My eyelashes are pretty much non-existent so mascara is a must when I do wear make up. This not only gives me lashes, they feel soft and natural instead of crispy (as the name implies!). They are definitely water proof, yet it comes off fairly easily with a few passes of eye makeup remover. Maybelline is not the brand I go to for all of my makeup needs, but I certainly don't need to try any other brands for mascara!

Seriously one of the best mascaras ever! I've purchased so many tubes of it I've lost count. I have short, non-existent lashes and this mascara gives them the perfect volume, length and separation. Really magnifies each and every lash. Zero smudging and flaking either! Highly recommend it. The brush is just a standard bristle brush, the formula is slightly drier than the non-waterproof version, but it definitely lasts longer (and is harder to take off at night). Maybelline's Soft & Full mascaras don't make your lashes feel clumpy either. Just soft and voluminous!

This used to be my go-to mascara years ago. I found it to be an excellent mascara to achieve natural-looking full lashes. It didn't clump, it separated lashes nicely, and felt weightless. True to its name, my lashes always felt soft instead of crunchy or obviously covered in product. Not one for a dramatic look, but rather to give my lashes a subtle definition for work or school. I found the traditional brush easy to control even when coating my bottom lashes. However, it always smudged onto my lids and under my eyes, which is annoying for a waterproof mascara.

This is absolutely my favorite mascara! More than that it is the only mascara that I use. Any other mascara I have ever tried has made my lashes brittle while not building any volume whatsoever. This mascara makes your lashes feel more natural than anything else I've ever used. The only thing I would warn potential flyers about is that while it is waterproof, it does smudge off onto your skin easier than some mascaras. Personally, I always find that the superior texture of the mascara is beyond worth it even if I look a little more raccoon-like in the mornings!

Just adding to the reviews expressing devastation that this product has been discontinued (if the rumours are true). This was my holy grail mascara, none other compare, including others in the Maybelline brand. It was the only mascara that held a curly for my otherwise straight & downward pointing Asian lashes. Now I’ll have to spend a ton of money trying to find another mascara that compares. Please please please bring it back!!!!!

I have been using the full n soft Mascaras for nearly 2 decades both personally and professionally. The consistency of the product and the shape of the wand just work perfectly together. I am absolutely gutted that it has become near impossible to get, especially when you live over 3 hours from the nearest city and Chemist Warehouse will only do click and collect on the item. Please Bring back.

Unable to find the RIGHT color

I have been using this product for MANY years, with the availability of the color brownish black. I am happy with the result but displeased with not being able to find this color. I've been using waterproof brownish black, since the company began producing it, and like the results but unable to find this color. WHY? It does not irritate my eyes with or without wearing contacts. Not everyone can wear the black colors you provide (onyx,very black, black, etc). For me to find brownish black, I have had to use other products and am not please.

Favorite mascara

I've used Maybelline mascara from the beginning and this line has become my favorite. The brush keeps my lashes separated and it doesn't go on clumpy. I like the waterproof formula because I have allergies and it helps prevent smudging. However I am disappointed because it no longer is available in a brown color. Black is too dark for my complexion and hair color. I've been buying a much more expensive brand now that I order online and it does the trick but would switch back in an instant if this product comes back in a brown color.

This by far is THE BEST mascara for me!! Please don't ever discontinue this one!! Sad the brown was, as brown is a better color for my skin tone and eye color, the black is a little too bold these days. My eyelashes are thin short and barely there. But, this mascara gives me life!! I have tried may other ones and I ALWAYS come back to this one. It does wonders. It stays put and fills my lashes making it look like i have a lot and more. The brush is the best brush EVER!!! PLEASE NEVER DISCONTINUE, PLEASE BRING BACK THE BROWN!!!

This is one of the best water proof mascaras I have ever used. It stays on all day, and requires a make-up remover to get it off at night. I need a water proof mascara for daily wear as I am one of those people that cries whenever I laugh, so I have tried many. This one holds up better than the higher priced brands I have tried. The only dislike I have for this product is the old style brush they are still using on the wand. I have a harder time getting an even coating and get more clumps with this style brush.

I am very picky with mascaras. A great mascara for me is one that does not clump even after more then one coat, leaves my lashes soft, hold my curl, adds some volume and length, does not smudge and is not too hard to take off. I have found all these things with this mascara and its definitely a plus that it has vitamin E to nourish my lashes and prevents lash loss. I'm very happy to have found this mascara and I can always rely on this one to wear when I need something waterproof because it never lets me down!

I really like using this Maybelline New York Full 'N Soft Waterproof Mascara because it gives me long black full lashes with the lashes clumping together. It's also Waterproof so it does not come off or cause smudging or panda eyes. I usually do 2 costs of this mascara with no issues. It does not have a scent to it and also does not irritate my eyes. The wand is a the most perfect size. Not to big it is just right. I also like the simple packaging. The mascara is very affordable too. I would highly recommend.

I can't believe this has been discontinued. I have been using it for over 20 years and it's the only waterproof mascara in your range that doesn't irritate my eyes. Makes lashes look beautiful and healthy and it completely stays put until you remove it. Please consider bringing it back!

What happened to the Full ‘N Soft
Waterproof mascara???????? I have been using this mascara for 10+ years and in the past 3 months I have purchased 4 tubes and they are not the same anymore. It’s way too thick and heavy, very hard to apply to the lashes. I’m currently using some older tubes that I happen to still have around. Hate whatever it is that was done to change what was the perfect mascara for me. Please bring back the original formula, really don’t want to have to find a new product.

I have used this mascara forever and when they stopped selling it in stores in Canada I was DEVASTATED. I have since been finding random vendors online to order it in bulk but these vendors have been dwindling and I am getting seriously worried. I have tried other mascaras and none of them compare. I curl my eyelashes and this is the only mascara that keeps them curled. I refuse to live my life without it. Please bring it back to Canada (and ideally the UK as well). Nothing will ever compare!

Oh how I love thee, let me count the ways!
This is a high-quality mascara for a wallet-friendly price. I love that the formula is thin so you never have to worry about clumps or spider lashes, no matter how many coats you apply. Plus, it's easy to remove despite the fact that it won't budge all day, even if I sweat.
I will continue to buy this for as long as they make it (which I hope is for the rest of my life, considering how hard it is to find the perfect mascara).

I am willing to spend quite a bit of money on good makeup, including mascara. Yet I keep buying this stuff. I have tried so many other types, and this is the mascara I always go back to. It’s easy to apply and layer, it doesn’t flake, and it can be applied differently for either the “work day” look or the “date night” look. Just use the tip of the wand to add another layer when you want more punch. I’ve been worrying for years now that they will stop making this mascara!
