      Lovely and smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first thought was that it was like the mousse foundation but in a tube. It felt thick and clumpy. I found it went on smoothly though and I evened it out with a damp sponge. It covered quite nicely and mattified my forehead well. I think I would have to build it up though as I still had blemishes that I could see. The colour was perfect. It looked really dark when I first applied it but it toned down as I smoothed it over my face. It brightened my complexion and evened out my skin tone. I usually use a BB cream as I don’t like a full foundation but I think I will give this a go as I love the way you can build it up unlike my BB cream. It lasted all day .

      Good BB Cream/Primer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first use of this product, I used too much and it caked in my pores rather than blurring them. So on second use, I used much more sparingly. This worked better. The texture is silky smooth and has such a gorgeous feel when putting it on. The colour is perfect for my skin. This time, it did blur my pores a bit. It did provide some concealing and evening of my skin tone. Some use BB creams as a substitute for foundation. Unless you have flawless skin already, the light coversage is so light that it really is only useful as a primer. This said, that's what it says it is on the box. This is a good product but I have used other BB creams that are better.

Super lightweight and blends incredibly well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not one to wear BB creams because I need a little more coverage. However since covid and having to wear face masks all day long resulting in maskne and super sore and sensitive skin, I 've been on the lookout for a new BB cream. I've tried many but this one is the best by far. It's gives me a nice coverage, blends well against my skin tone and best of all, I do not get any breakouts. I also do not get transfer of product on my mask. I love the texture of the product and although it looks a little dark coming out of the tube, once applied it matches my skin tone perfectly. This is my new fav and a staple in my bag!

      Not for me!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this product because anything that promises to shorten the time it takes getting ready in the morning is a bonus. However I am so underwhelmed at this product. The formula is like a dry mousse, and is a very bizarre texture to try to blend in, either with fingers or brush - seems to leave streaks. On top of this I had zero improvement in the look of my skin, it certainly did not double as a concealer. Also as a 40 yo with youthful skin, I certainly did not see any ‘age rewind’. So disappointed as wanted to believe the promises of the product, but it just isn’t for me. I use maybelline dream satin foundation usually and love it and will sticking to it!!

      Ages appearance of skin

Very disappointed. This product actually aged the appearance of my skin. I used it exactly as directed and it sunk into every pore and wrinkle dramatically aging the appearance of my skin. It has a dry, cakey, grainy feel to it even when applied sparingly. I asked my 24 year old daughter to try it and it didn’t apply any better on her youthful skin. Definitely not an ‘instant anti age’ as advertised. A waste of money.

      Good and bad

Tried this several times since I bought it. Bought 01 Light which is fine but wOULD also try next one down too. This covers well and really does seem to blur lines. HOWEVER, there are two really big issues for me. Firstly, it is very drying, so although it is, presumably, aimed at older ladies, it is not hydrating enough for older skins. Secondly, no matter which primer I use (I’ve tried 4 good quality primers plus no primer) this just sinks into my pores and looks awful. I’ve tried using a hyaluronic acid just before but it still looks dry, flaky and my pores are full of makeup. Such a shame, it’s a good idea and should work but, sadly, it doesn’t work for it’s target audience.

I was expecting to hate it, but actually love it.

I was one of the disappointed people who was devastated to learn that the dream matte mouse was being discontinued. I reluctantly purchased this new product expecting to hate it and initially when I tried it, I was disappointed. It doesn't have the same coverage and it doesn't hide spots or blemishes. However, it is incredibly natural, mattifies and blurs. I have found that when coupled with the dream lumi concealer it is actually far superior to the old dream, matte mousse as it sits on my skin really well. I tend to think of this as a tinted serum which I use as a base, and then use the dream lumi concealer to hid the dark circles and blemishes. I'm a convert. Thanks Maybelline.

      Quick smooth light coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to use, squeeze as much as you want out of the tube and dot on your face. You can feel that it is very smooth as you are blending it in. It feels like one of those blur creams. I tried it without concealer to see how well it does cover. I felt it is a light coverage product, and I'm not convinced that it is covering wrinkles, dark spots, or under eye circles. On the plus side, I didn't feel weighted down or grubby.

      Not for dry skin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is lovely- really lightweight and the colour was a good match to my fair skin - I used my fingers as the reviews mentioned that was the best way , it comes out like puffy foundation- it went on lovely but I have dry skin( I had applied a serum and a primer) but it just wouldn’t really cover my nose it it just highlighted the dry areas on my face - where as a foundation always covers then. In saying that my skin felt so smooth and soft it was lovely . Very light coverage so great for days when you just want a little brightness- please excuse my pictures it was a very early start to the day lol

      Just perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely in love with the instant anti age perfector, it has a light texture and can be easily applied and blended in or built up as required, i have very dry skin but the perfector has an amazing texture and is the perfect shade for my skin, it is very quick to apply and can be easily blended in with only finger tips. Its suitable for everyday use and i will definitely recommend it.

      Light coverage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find this product perfect for summer time because of its light coverage. I've been a bit worried about the colour of the product, but the shade adjustes itself to the skin colour quite well. It is easy to apply with the tips of your fingers. The finish it is mattified, smooth, velvety, quite even, it blures the pores, but it doesn't correct the imperfections so well because of its light formula. The blush/bronzer doesn't seems to be working well together with this product, it doesn't blend well, the blush/bronzer looks patchy. Overall I'm quite impressed with the effectiveness of the product.

      Doesn't blend well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try this product as I'm prone to blemishes with my combination skin, I also have some redness I wanted to conceal. The perfecter 4 in 1 is a mousse like consistency which I thought would blend really well and give my skin some coverage but how wrong was I! The product went on really streaky and would not blend, it just went really patchy and cakey looking if anything it actually highlighted my blemishes more. The only positives I have on the product is the colour did adapt to my skin tone and did mattify my skin but overall I was left deeply unsatisfied with this product.

The lightest multi-tasking product for your face!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lightest multi-tasking product for your face! At first I thought that this make-up was going to be incredibly thick as the mousse like liquid squirted out of the tube but once you work it into your plan/fingers/face its super airy. This make-up worked really well as a primer, BB cream and powder on my skin but not all blemishes were concealed even after a second application. This make-up gave me a healthy glow, light coverage and even skin tone. As I prefer full coverage make-up I wouldn't use it on its own - but you certainly could - plus you could use this under foundation

      It's a 50/50 verdict from me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This foundation promises a lot and does do some of them. It goes on smoothly, and feels soft on the skin. It felt like a silky foam. I needed to add more where I had redness, which can be understandable but I still felt I needed a concealer if I was going to use this on a regular basis. After it dried, it did have a powdered texture and seemed to emphasize my pores instead of leaving a smooth finish. It also seemed to emphasize my creases, which I really didn't like. I think the coverage would more suit a younger skin. I prefer something that leaves my skin feeling more hydrated.

Worse foundation I have tried recently

I bought this 3 weeks ago after reading some positive reviews.
I was looking forward to trying it, but I was very disappointed when I did.
I tried it without a primer first but it went on very badly and looked atrocious.
Then I tried a very good quality primer with it, it was no better. My lines and pores stood out and the makeup was patchy.

The best base product ever, please keep making it!

Love at first swipe. Perfect for combination skin, as it mattifies without drying skin out. The shade Light was a perfect match for me, my Mac shade is C1. I cannot get over how perfect my skin looks, yet at the same time the product is undetectable as "makeup" on the skin, it just makes me look flawless. I feel like this is the product I've always been looking for but couldn't find. So please please please do not stop making this. I love it so much! I never write reviews but I just want Maybelline to know that they've hit the nail on the head with this one, especially for those of us who love "no makeup makeup" but cannot handle the dewier base products due to oily/combo skin. I'll be buying this on repeat! <3

      Good but not for me

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product didn't do what i had hoped, however, it was certainly not a write off. I wouldn't be able to use this product on its own. I have redness in my cheeks and it didnt cover that at all. What it did do was give me a very nice base for my foundation and makeup. It was a very nice primer and a decent, if not somewhat slightly too sheer, concealer. I will definitely be using this again. I looked up how other people had used it and i tried to apply more in certain places as concealer. That worked very well for me. It felt nice on my skin and i would recommend to people with very few blemishes but want to even out the skin tone a little. It was also a bit light for me but it was fine once I'd covered it with my foundation.

      Disappointed

I am really disappointed with this product, when I used it it simply just became really streaky didn't blend, gave no coverage in the slightest, I get really frustrated with wasting money on things that don't work.

      Beautiful texture, natural matte finish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the shade light medium to review. Initially I thought it was going to be too dark and too orange for my skin tone but not so! The colour was perfect once applied and settled into my skin. The texture is whipped and very light and easy to work with. I applied with my fingertips. Just a little at a time but it smoothed into my skin beautifully. It gives a lovely even, medium coverage and a very natural finish. It’s matte which is my favourite and gives my skin a flawless look. I have a few open pores and it managed to diminish them quite well. Don’t be put off by the colour of the light/medium, once applied, it blends in to your natural skin colour. Overall I am extremely happy with this product and would happily recommend it.

      Had higher expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is basically a moussy BB cream. It feels nice to apply, with fingers - as suggested, and has a light feel when applying, like a silicone primer, hence more of a BB than a foundation. However, it didnt suit me in several ways. Firstly, I chose medium when I should have chosen light - medium. But, I thought I'd give it a chance as it said colour adjusting. Unfortunatel, it didn't colour adjust to a lighter tone, it rather made me look quite orange and bronzed. I tried to blend down my neck but my ears look quite light as I couldn't apply it there. As claimed, skin did feel smooth but it didn't cover any of my acne scars or blur my pores. I'll probably try and use it as a contour. I might be able to use it in summer when I tan a little.

Would like a SPF20 in this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the instant anti age perfector 4-in-1 in light/medium shade as part of a tester panel.
I found that the product was easy to apply and smoothed into my skin easily, leaving it feeling soft.
However the shade I received was too dark for my skin tone. It also didn’t cover or conceal the redness I have around my nose area.
I usually use either a BB or CC cream and prefer a less matte finish that the perfector 4-in-1 gives.
Also I like at least a SPF20 to be included in my base.
So in conclusion not a product I would purchase for myself.

      Not Happy

I really didn’t want to post a negative review but I’m disappointed and there’s no way to contact Customer Service.
This product is in the Foundation category which I disagree with. It’s described as light coverage which is over stating. It’s incredible sheer and little more than a primer. It doesn’t conceal anything. I think it needs to be relabelled as a primer. And not foundation or concealer.

      Excellent Makeup, Fast and Effective

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with this makeup, a little goes a long way, it was so soft & easy to apply to my skin. Light was a fantastic match for me, it blended in well & minimised the look of redness, blemishes & dark circles too. Highly recommended if (like me) you don’t have much time in your morning routine, as a mum I need something that I can apply fast but without compromising on effectiveness. With having a 4 in 1 application this cream saves me lots of time. I would recommend it for my friends and my followers to try it out.

      Beautifully Smooth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product was easy to apply with fingertips - the mousse-like texture was velvety and felt light on my skin. It gave good coverage with a matte effect and helped to mask visible pores. I feel that this product does have the 4-in-1 benefits - primes, covers blemishes, evens skin tone and leaves a matte finish. The only downside for me in this trial was that the colour was a bit darker than I would usually wear, and only for that reason I gave 4 stars, not 5. I would de finitely buy this in a lighter and highly recommend it.

      Great replacement for foundation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally use a full coverage foundation but have been using just this and setting powder. It’s a really nice texture on the skin. It advises you to apply with your fingers but I prefer to use a brush. It does squirt out a little unpredictably which is my main criticism. The whipped texture is good but it does mean it’s a bit unwieldy. It’s great for those days when you just want some coverage but not a full face. I don’t always need to use a concealer when I use this so it’s saving make up. Colour match is great.

      Just go get it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have received this to test. I have an acne prone face so Most of the time I either use a tinted spf or very specific foundations that I know it is not going to break me out. I have been testing this for a week now. Wow what a success With maintaining breakouts. This is my fav now. I just tried with both brush and using my hand to apply both works well but hands are slightly better to apply with. I only apply a little bit and it blurs the inperfections. It does not feel heavy at all , you cant actually feel or see it. It does what foundation or concealer would do. It has a velvety finish it feels so good on the skin. If you want a light coverage and looking for a product to cover everything this is so good. It matched my skin so good too. Honestly i cant praise this product enough.

      It stings!

I have bought many May Elaine products but had to throw this one out. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin but this caused my skin to sting. I tried it three times and the same thing happened. I’ve never had this issue with any other cosmetics. Very disappointed as I had hoped it would be a terrific product. The liquid was very thin, too. If you have any concerns about skin irritation, I would warn you against buying this product. I have since read a number of reviews that have said the same thing.

Goes on nicely but a bit lightweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Goes on nicely. Feels a bit like a primer to apply. But it is very lightweight and I needed to apply it quite thickly or reaaply it to get some sort of coverage. Also, I found when I removed it later there didnt seem to be much left on my face. So maybe it wears off easily during the day. I think they need to rename these colours. If I was trying a product with a generic name I would normally choose a medium colour. But this medium was far too dark. Overall not bad for a lightweight product.

Go lighter than you think you need

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Basically it's a BB creme. The texture is more like a mousse than a creme when it comes out of the pack but you use it just the same as you would a creme. Only difference is you need to use more mousse than you would if it was a creme so the product probably won't last as long. I got the light/medium shade and the colour is an awful lot darker than what I was expecting (and what it showed online when I picked it) so I would advise to go 1 or 2 shades lighter than what you think you need.

Doesn’t do what it says on the tin

Nearing 5 and becoming conscious of a couple of fine lines the blurring effect of this sounded like the answer to all my prays… used it this morning with no other products, i feel it has slightly blurred by forehead creases but it’s highlighted the pores on my nose as it’s sat it them and it looks dreadful in the creases of my nose. I liked the texture when applying but dont like it now it’s dried on my skin. The colour I chose is good for my tone. Just off to wash my face and start again!

      Impractically lightweight / packaged

I bought this foundation about 5 days ago, and it is a lovely product - but it’s very impractical. The best way I’ve found to apply it is with a buffing brush, but because the product is so light weight (and I’ve even had this when I’ve applied it with my hands) the product often falls off wherever I’ve put it before putting it on the brush. If it was packaged similar to the matte mousse foundation it’d be a lot better but I’m not a fan of this product in its current packaging.

Does what is says on the box!!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this and it is a lovely product for those days where you do not want full foundation. I applied it for a night out with my partner and as soon as I opened the packet I was impressed. A little goes along way and the texture is fluffy and easy to apply. The fair light colour matched me perfectly and instantly my skin looked matt and perfect. That is pretty impressive considering I had worked all day and was super tired. This is a great product and I will be using again.

      Bring back the orginal

Used the maybelline matte mousse for years, so decided to use this replacement and it was terrible! it doesn't not provide any coverage, not able to blend with fingers because it looks patchy, when I used brush there was no difference to my skin as if I did not put any foundation on.

Please bring back the original, it did what it was meant to... so disappointed that it was replaced with this overpriced alternative that does not even do half the jobs that it did.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Light/Medium whipped matte makeup and it was a revelation! This product goes onto the skin with ease and gives an instant and even coverage.
I have ' orange peel skin ' and have always struggled to find a good product that provides a smooth look..... I have found it in the Perfector 4-in1 !
The mousse glides onto the skin using just your fingertips, its quick to apply and leaves my skin feeling light and soft.
I would highly recommend this product !!

Even my husband noticed a difference!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I LOVE this. The texture felt really smooth as I rubbed it onto my skin. It comes out of the tube like a mousse and then blends easily just with fingers. It definitely evened out my skin tone(s!), from brown age spots to broken veins and not forgetting black circles around my eyes. It felt light to wear but still lasted all day and was easy to remove.
My husband, who is not known for his observational skills said that my skin felt much smoother.

      Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try this product when I saw it as I don't usually use foundation except for special occasions as I don't like the feel of it on my skin but as I'm getting older and starting to get more age spots and hyperpigmentation I thought it would be ideal to even out my skin tone a little. When I do buy foundation I usually find medium shade is the best but although I went a bit lighter with this product and chose light/medium it came way too dark for me so if you buy I would recommend going a shade lighter than your usual. I found it very dry to apply and sadly you can still clearly see all my dark spots through it - although it does it provides light coverage it does claim to conceal blemishes and even skin tone which unfortunately I did not find to be the case for me. Sadly this isn't the product that I was hoping for.

4 in 1 did not disappoint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to try this product as I had heard lots of good things & was looking forward to cutting down on the time spent doing my make-up & this did not disappoint. A little goes a long way & if you need slight more coverage, say over a spot or on your under-eye you can easily build it up. I did notice that it sat in my pores on my cheeks which doesn’t usually happen when I use separate products but otherwise very impressed
