Full N Soft® Washable Mascara

This used to be my go-to mascara years ago, along with the waterproof version. I found it to be an excellent mascara to achieve natural-looking full lashes. It didn't clump, it separated lashes nicely, and felt weightless. True to its name, my lashes always felt soft instead of crunchy or obviously covered in product. Not one for a dramatic look, but rather to give my lashes a subtle definition for work or school. I found the traditional brush easy to control even when coating my bottom lashes. However, it always smudged onto my lids and under my eyes, which also used to be an issue with the waterproof version.\n\nI never had a problem removing it with good old olive oil or a dedicated eye makeup remover.

Super disappointed. I have worn this formula for at least 17 years of not longer. I have purchased 3 tubes in the last few days thinking that it was out of date. The smell is so strong that I can’t stand to put it one and I’ve started having irritation and redness on the corners of my eye. I finally researched and see they have changed the formula. They have lost a customer. I just ordered another brand and will throw these all away as I have a sample of something else I can use until the new arrives. I change tubes every 3 months like clockwork. Goodbye Maybelline.

I have been using this mascara for years and years and years and I LOVE IT. I have some bad allergies to many other kinds of mascara, but not this one. I have even tried other types of Maybelline mascaras and I'm allergic to those - including Great Lash. This was the only one that worked for me. It is simply awesome. It leaves my lashes soft after use. I LOVE the BROWNISH BLACK color and it is gone. I am fair skinned and any variation of the other black colors offered are too much on me. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING BROWNISH BLACK BACK.

I've been using Maybelline Full n Soft mascara on and off for the better part of 15 years. This is the mascara I keep coming back to, because it is so affordable, lasts all day, and gives the exact look I am after. I have reasonably long lashes naturally, but they are quite pale, so I am always on the hunt for a mascara formulation that will give me thick, natural and healthy looking lashes without clumping or flaking. This mascara absolutely fits the bill, with the added plus of being easy to remove; I use warm water and my regular gentle face wash and it comes straight off, leaving no tell-tale panda eyes.The only con for me with this mascara is it can smudge when worn on my lower lashes. This doesn't bother me as I don't usually apply mascara to my lower lashes, but I know there are many out there who do.Overall, I would recommend Maybelline Full n Soft to  anyone looking for a thick, natural lash look at a very affordable price.

Have used this product for over 20 years. Was the total best product and wad always happy with it. Since Covid this product has changed and I just cannot believe yet s ither good product is now
done for. It is clumpy and supposedly washable, but yet it is like rubber on your lashes and totally clumpy. I thought maybe I had bought a bad one and tried again, but then again and again same
horrible outcome. I am done with this product and need something light and
washable.. Any insight on a comperable
replacement anyone??

Finally, a mascara that leaves lashes feeling soft, not crunchy or stiff! “Full ‘n’ Soft” is a true reflection of this mascara and therefore the perfect moniker for this. Add to that the fact that this does not smudge or flake and you have yourself a winner. I only wish this was a tubing formula, then it would be the mascara of my dreams. I don’t often get compliments on my lashes (I have deep set hooded eyes) however, when I use this mascara my lashes reach my brows and I get compliments every time I wear it.

I remember back in the late 90's to early 2000s when I just HAD to have this mascara thanks to my obsession with Sarah Michelle Gellar (aka Buffy) who happened to be the model for Maybelline at the time.This was one of the first make up products I ever used-and even after over 15 years and 100's of new products tried-it is still one I continue to buy.I like a more natural look with makeup and this is one of the few mascaras that provide that result. Most I have tried feel sticky,leave blobs and stick huge sections of lashes together and look so obvious.This mascara actually separates individual lashes and makes them look naturally longer. Not only that,lashes feel soft still! I am yet to come across another mascara that does that! It doesn't provide hugely noticeable results -but that isn't a problem for me.Another huge positive is its staying power.It lasts all day without smearing or smudging!I'd recommend this for anyone wanting natural looking AND feeling fuller lashes at an amazing price.

As a member of the Maybelline Great Lash Mascara generation, I began looking for a mascara which contains the following qualities: hypoallergenic, fragrance free, defines and conditions my lashes. I'm happy to say Maybelline Full "N Soft fits the bill!
The name of the mascara says it all: The mascara gives your lashes definition/volume, while conditioning your lashes to prevent lash loss. It is the perfect mascara for women of "un âge incertain."
The only negative comment I will make about this mascara are the color options. The mascara only comes in Very Black. To counteract the intensity of this color, I swipe my mascara wand onto a tissue before applying. I would like to see Maybelline offer the color choices of Black, Black/Brown, Brown and Navy for Full "N Soft Mascara.

I have been wearing this mascara for as long as I can remember. I now have contact dermatitis where my lashes hit my upper eyelid. It took me almost 3 months to figure out that it was the mascara. I changed all my makeup brushes, foundation, eye shadows, and eyeliner. The last thing I changed was my mascara because I love it so much. Once I stopped using it the dermatitis cleared up and I haven’t had anymore issues. Problem is- no mascara I’ve tried is as good as this one :( Please change the formula back!

I have use this mascara literally for forever. At least 15 years. I’ve tried tons of other mascaras in between and this is the only one that applies without a ton of cakiness, doesn’t become brittle and break all over my cheeks throughout the day, and truly makes my eyelashes look voluminous, longer, and feel (and LOOK) soft to the touch. Why anybody would spend a larger amount of money on mascara is a mystery to me! You seriously cannot beat the quality of this mascara for the price!

I love it! I can't believe how many make up users and lovers don't know what an amazing mascara this is!!! So so so amazing. It give so much length, volume, definition and just big Full and Soft lashes...hint hint..lol. I have used this product since middle school and still continue to purchase and repurchase this knowing that it always delivers such big beautiful results. The brush is so so perfect for big fluffy soft lashes that make them look like a baby dolls! I'm obsessed with this. Formula is great and dries fast and doesn't transfer but however I wish it lasted longer but I understand it's washable and not waterproof giving you a easy removal of this mascara but a short wear time...but its worth it and works amazing with other Mascaras that are water proof and long lasting. Love love love!!!!

One of my old school ride or die favorite mascaras! The formula is wonderful, it doesn’t clump and definitely gives volume and definition. I find myself purchasing this at least twice a year as I cycle through mascaras, and I don’t see that ever changing! I’ve been buying this product on and off since I was 14 years old, and I’m now 30 (and a professional makeup artist), and I always come back! It’s not the very best drugstore mascara, but it is pretty high up there!

I have used this mascara for years. And recently the product has been dry and flaky. I currently have 4 tubes i purchased in the past 2 weeks in
my cosmetic case in hopes that each new one i buy it will be apply better. Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed that all are dried out leaving ny eyes looking tired and now have to find a new mascara. Its a shame I have always received the most amazing compliments on my lashes in the past using this mascara.

I've been using Full 'N Soft for as long as I can remember. I stocked up last time I bought it because it was on sale, and I don't use anything else. I've experimented with other brands and even other Maybelline products and nothing comes close to Full 'N Soft in quality. The brush is amazing. I'm devastated to learn that blackish brown is no longer available. I can't use black because I'm a redhead. Please, please, please bring back blackish brown!!!!!

BRING BACK BROWN!!! PLEASE!!! I have used this for years! Even if I tried a new mascara I always went back to this. I get a lot of compliments and people asking what kind of mascara I use. I have very sensitive eyes and don't like waterproof mascara. This is exactly what it says - FULL AND SOFT. I am just begging for them to bring back the brown color, I am blonde and it just gives a softer look. Just do it Maybelline! Brownish Black! Brownish Black!

Love this formula. Brush is perfect, formula is perfect. I hate the black. I’m too light to wear black mascara. I need the brown. Bring the brown back. You all developed the perfect mascara and now you’re taking it away. This is literally the only maybelline product I buy. Without brown full and soft mascara, I purchase from this company ever. Brown Full & Soft Mascara is the spicy nuggets or taco pizza of maybelline. They’re nothing without it.

I started using expensive “designer” high end mascara and my lashes were falling out. I went back to this tried and tire mascara and within weeks my lashes were back to normal. I also get no clumping and I love the applicator as it provides a lot of separation.

I’m good with black but I wish they had brownish black options ( I think it was discontinued ) because on a day where I don’t want a heavy eye the brownish lash looks softer.

I have been using Mabeline mascara faithfully for probably 20 years. But it seems every other tube either doesn’t have mascara in it or it’s hard to use until it becomes a little dried out I tap, a shake, I try and warm it up, but nothing is coming out of this tube I have to reapply three or four times and then it looks goopy. So then I end up throwing it away and buying a new one tired of the vicious cycle. Time to find something new.

I’ve been using this mascara for years and it has been the best brush and formula. They reformulated it and my latest tube has dried out, clumped, and performed so poorly on my lashes after only a week of use. I am SO disappointed!!!! I’d rather pay more for the original formula than have to go back to the drawing board of finding a new mascara! Must everything fall victim to shrinkflation and reforumlation!!? I won’t be repurchasing.

Seriously one of the best mascaras ever! I've purchased so many tubes of it I've lost count. I have short, non-existent lashes and this mascara gives them the perfect volume, length and separation. Really magnifies each and every lash. Zero smudging and flaking either! Highly recommend it. The brush is just a standard bristle brush, the formula is slightly wet but dries down quickly, and is easy to layer. Easy to take off at nigh.

I agree with the other Reviewers. Full 'n' Soft in Brownish-Black has been my go-to mascara for over 30 years. I recently decided to switch to the DARK BROWN only to discover that the whole line has been discontinued. WHY DISCONTINUE SUCH A POPULAR PRODUCT??? Maybelline's other mascara offerings just don't work for me. BRING BACK THE FULL'n'SOFT LINE -- ESPECIALLY IN DARK BROWN -- OR YOU HAVE LOST ANOTHER FAITHFUL CUSTOMER.

I found this mascara after having difficulty removing others. This is easy to remove, doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes and gives me all the length and volume I desire. I really think the volume it gives my lashes is right up there with the Colossal varieties. I really love it and it's my absolute favorite. Please maybelline, don't discontinue this. Loads of people love it and for good reason, it's an amazing product.

Why oh why would you discontinue this. None of your other mascaras have the same brush, consistency or go on with such ease. I was really disappointed to find out you discontinued the brownish black that is best for blondes and now us older women. I have used this product for years. Such a huge disappointment and again since your other products and brush do not compare, I will have to search elsewhere.

It doesn't bother my eyes, goes on great, stays on all day and is all around great. My only issue is that the brown was discontinued!! Please bring it back, I buy the black because it is my only option but may have to explore another brand that will come close just to be able to have brown again. Black is too harsh and not natural enough with my coloring. Disappointed with the color option change.

I have been using this mascara for longer than i can remember, and I am 57. I dont wear makeup every day,but when I do, its this mascara for me. It looks natural and is soft and easy to remove. PLEASE dont discontinue this mascara. Lots of women would be upset! Great for us older ladies,because it doesnt make your eyelashes look like tarantula legs! Dont get that whole concept either. Thanks.

I will echo the comments of previous reviewers. When I first tried this product, I loved it immediately. It doesn't clump, and it adds length and definition without being over the top. When I went to get more recently, I could not find it in Brownish Black. I searched local stores and was sad to find the color discontinued. I cannot wear the very black color. Please bring back brownish black.

[Employee of maybelline-na] Maybelline Full & Soft has been my go to mascara for 10+ years! It doesn’t run, flake or leave any residue after you was it off but for the last 6-9 month every tube I have bought seems to have a smell to it that it never had before and has dried out way faster than it has ever before. I absolutely love this mascara but wish they would bring back the old formula.

I have been using this mascara since high school and when it is not at the local store I have bought a few other types but.. nothing is better than this mascara!! It separates the eye lashes while adding fullness and length, your eyelashes will never stick together after application. I suggest 2 coats, one after the first is fully dry. I wish I could buy 100 of these and never run out!

This is one of my HG mascaras! Great price, lasting power, looks great and is easy to get off at the end of the day. If you get it wet it’ll run of course, but it lasts through the occasional eye-rub (I forget I’m wearing it since it’s so comfortable). I’m so sad that maybelline isn’t CF, so I’ll have to find an alternative. But I still have a tube I’m using and I love it just the same.

I fell in love with the Clinique High Impact Mascara but I just can't justify paying that much for mascara anymore. After trying many different mascaras looking for one that provides the same look and doesn't melt off. Let me tell you this mascara impressed me same great look for half the price, it separates lashes and leaves your lashes soft and not stiff. Love love love this mascara.
